Here in Central PA it's been pretty steady over the past 20 years or so, tbh.
(prices are approx. average/range, deposit and tax not included)
12 oz can runs 50 cents from most vending machines. A few stores like K-Mart and Weis Markets like to jack theirs up a bit to get people buying it inside/shill their store brand and they run .55 to .75.
Box of 12 cans: Usually $4.99, occassionally $5.99 But around here Weis or Giant (the two regional groceries) or CVS or K-Mart or someone usually has them on sale for anywhere from 4 for $10 to 3 for $12. Almost all have implemented "must buy 3/4 to get discount". Rarely still you see a 5 for $10, but again that's usually Coke around here.
Box of 24 cans: These went up a little. I remember when they were $6 at groceries $7 elsewhere and would go on sale for $5 and rarely $4. I think now they're regularly $7-$9 and go on sale for $6 and occassionally $5. (Although that's usually just coke at Wal-Mart)
591 mL (20 oz.) Bottle: $1 from most vending machines, rarely $1.25-$1.75 usually at the places where cans are more. $1.29-$1.79 from most convenience stores and grocery coolers.
1 Litre (36 oz.) Bottle: $1.79-$2.49 at most stores. Prices seem to fluctuate on these a good bit, but they've never been heavily produced or sold in this area, save for Mountain Dew (which at most stores around here usually outsells all other sodas... in some instances all others combined).
2 Litre (72 oz.) Bottle: $1.79-$1.99 at most stores occassionally upwards to $2.49 (I know it was getting more outrageous at pizza places and such up to $2.79). But again, someone usually has it on sale for 2 for $3, 3 for $4 or 4 for $5. I have noticed it's very rare to see them 10 for $10 anymore at the groceries.
As for the can machines, there's a good mix of PepsiCo bottler owned/business owned around here. The bottler ones are almost always the more reasonably priced (.50 for a can, $1 for 20 ounce). Bottler owned ones in businesses get a discount a lot of the times. A 20 ounce Pepsi at my work was 80 cents out of the machine.
Then again, there's still somewhat of a Coke-Pepsi war in my area and it depends where the nearest bottler is located. My town now, for instance, bottles Coke and Pepsi comes from I think 20-40 miles away. In my old town, they had a Pepsi bottler and imported their Coke from here I believe which is 50 miles. So outside of grocery sales, Coke was usually a little more. Then again, Pepsi didn't do a lot of price lowerings in general (save for the 24 packs which was more of a "get people into x store" deal) because everyone drank Pepsi there. My grandfather said years before they had a Coke bottler and trucked in Pepsi and almost everyone drank Coke because of it.
