Archers in Tactics Ogre. Deals the highest damage against most enemies, using bows they can attack outside the range of their weapons, unlike crossbows, and two or three of them can kill anything quickly. Great minds, Cthulhu; I was actually going to mention Aloser in my original post, but I didn't know if the PSP version significantly nerfed archers or not. They really are laughably overpowered in the original, though. She's been renamed as Arycelle, and she's still pretty strong... heck, she has the highest attack in the game (well, highest attack in the group). Canopus starts with an axe and a bow instead of a spear, plus you can change his class into an archer as well. The remake also has new skills. For archers, other than finishing moves, they got a skill where their next attack will be a critical, and another skill later on where they attack twice, which is pretty much instant death against humans.

Cthulhu will of course know this one but Omachi from Sengoku Rance. Once you unlock the Dokuganryuu house characters to start the game with, she comes with an "I Win" button in the form of her Large Lightning attack.

Once you unlock the Dokuganryuu house characters to start the game with, she comes with an "I Win" button in the form of her Large Lightning attack. Also, using Motonari against the final boss makes things much easier since he deals quite a lot of damage, if I remember correctly. On the other hand, Motonari has to be in his giant form, which is pretty useless in army battles. Omachi can easily destroy everything even with her normal attack, which also hits every enemy. Again, from Sengoku Rance, the Takeda cavalry can be really overpowered; strong, can attack enemies from the back row, has a battle ability that triples the attack damage as long as the battle is in your favor. It also makes them probably the hardest enemies to fight, especially when they start attacking your territory several times in a row.

To be fair, the Takeda cavalry was overpowered in real life as well, hahaha. They're also a bitch to fight in Kessen III, where, again, they're nigh-invincible.

Yeah, you can't really blame AliceSoft for making the Takeda cavalry overpowered. As NARH said, they were pretty goddamn overwhelming in real life also.

True, true. The only reason I won against them was conquering the main city before the main generals began their attacks. They weren't that hard in Warriors Orochi.

KOS-MOS in Namco X Capcom. I already hated her character to begin with, and the fact that she's so much more powerful than everyone else in the game (at least, as far as I played through, which was about chapter 19 or 20. Ryu was the only character who even came close to doing comparable damage), ugh.
Karna and Sheela in Shining Force 2. Master Monks who have both the Aura AND Boost spells = characters who can level themselves up at will, RAPIDLY.
Zylo in the original Shining Force. Large movement range and high attack power.
Rika in Phantasy Star 4. Levels up much faster than everyone else, has a much higher chance of getting critical hits than everyone else, is the most skilled healer out of the 4 primary heroes, has a skill that raises the entire party's defense rating
