Not surprised at all with Snape coming in at number 1. His story arc is one of the most important to the overall story and is very popular to begin with. Though I'm surprised Voldermort didn't finish higher.

The thing about Snape is that there is so much about him that is admirable {Spoiler}(his love and commitment to Lily and courage of being a double agent) , but at the same time, so much that is detestable {Spoiler}(his unfair hatred of Harry because of James and his latent hatred for mudbloods that made him become a Death Eater in the first place) . I like Snape's character overall, but he is very flawed. I honestly figured Harry or Hagrid would be #1.

1.Not one Death Eater or Dark Arts follower on your list Stinger?
2. Dath was I the only one who voted for Hedwig and Buckbeak? I can't imagine they made the list on my vote alone.
3. I think I would been shocked if Harry or Hagrid made #1. Everywhere else I go the favorite characters are always Draco,Bellatrix or Snape.

Snape was a former Death Eater. He's the only one. I don't think any of the Death Eater crowd were at all likable, and that's how Rowling intended it, I think, as none of them had any redeeming qualities to speak of. I understand that Bellatrix and Voldemort are at least interesting characters and that some people like villains, but...
I don't get why people would like Draco at all. He was a bad guy, but was a terrible bad guy. He was a coward all the way around. He was too big of a coward to defy Voldemort and was too big of a coward to carry out his responsibilities of a Death Eater. He was just a lukewarm character, obviously not a good guy, but too big of a wuss to be a real bad guy. Then again, that's just my opinion.

Yes, you were the only one who voted for them, since 1st place gets 10, 2nd gets 9, etc.

Wow,I didn't think I was going to be enough to get Hedwig and Buckbeak in by myself but I'm glad I was.

My list is up on page 2,but no I didn't vote for either one of them. If I voted for a Weasley it's be Billy. I still don't know how Fred got in and george didn't To me minus a few very minor traits they're basically switchable.

Rowling has said that George was nicer but I didn't see a difference.

Yeah, they're pretty interchangeable to me.

Aww, wish I had seen this sooner. I just finished the books for the first time ever last night. I think if I had to do a top ten it would go something like: 1) Luna Lovegood 2) Remis Lupin 3) Dobby 4) Mad Eye Moody 5) Dumbledore 6) Ginny Weasley 7) Harry Potter 8) Cedric Diggory 9) The Weasley Twins 10) Hermoine I don't get the Snape love for some reason...

I'd put Mad Eye in if only for the fact that he's not Mad Eye for most of the time we see him.
