Even if they cancelled it, we'd get some other show to replace it. Like Napoleon Dynamite, which is apparently set to debut next season Might as well strike while the iron is, uh......in existence.

So it'll probably be Napoleon Dynamite, Bob's Burgers at 7-8. Simpsons and Cleveland Show 8-9. Family Guy and Amerian Dad 9-10. If it's scheduled like this Napoleon Dynamite and Bob's Burgers would get preemptied by NFL most every week like King of the Hill and Futurama.

Fox rotates AD!, Napoleon, and Bob's Burgers (and I believe a 4th animated show is in the works) throughout the season in the 8:30 E time slot. American Dad, for example, is renewed for another season but it's going to be spread across 2 years B. There's been rumours that Fox is interested in expanding their Animation Domination block to a second night, however that's just a rumour as of now. I expect them to go with option A personally

A rather crudely animated show like Bob's burgers has to be infinitely cheaper than a live action science fiction show like Firefly to produce. Did you ever watch firefly? It looked really cheap. like reeeeaaallly cheap. The reason firefly got canceled was because one of the producers who helped create the show left and was replaced with another producer who didn't get the show and basically tried to sabotage production. And as a general rule of thumb, most live action is cheaper than animation. p.s. On the flipside animation is also harder to "cancel" a season due to how production on animated shows work. To put it bluntly, once you order x amount of shows for an animated project, you pretty much have all those shows no questions asked. Meaning, even if you don't order any more shows of an animated project it still makes more sense to show the remaining episodes instead of yanking it off air. With live action, you can halt production before it goes to filming. But with animation once an episode is ready to be aired week 1, most of the other episodes are ready for the consecutive weeks.

this gets a second season, and firefly didn't even get one? boo this network! Hey, LONE STAR only got like 3 episodes, so be grateful! (I never watched LONE STAR, but I'm just saying) I did, and it was quite good. To be fair, it was a serious family drama, and it seemed like it would have been more at home on FX. As for Bob's Burger's, eh. I caught another episode and I still don't care for it.

Love Bob's Burger's though. I think its one of my favorites on TV right now. Glad to see it got picked up again too. This is one of the few instances where I actually wrote an email to the network asking for it to remain on.

I liked the movie and all... but I can't see that being a successful show... not to mention the fact the movie came out like 7 years ago at this point... By the same token Clerks and it's animated series came out 6 years apart... but still...

That's Fox's problem, not this show's. So I don't get the "this got canceled but this is still on!!!!!! ?!?!?!!!" So? Just because you don't like something, must you insult it for no reason?

Also, keep in mind that Bob's Burgers is produced in Flash, which is a lot less costly than hand-drawn animation. Its ratings have actually slid by a bit, so if it were hand-drawn, it probably would not be renewed as the monetary loss would be more painful.

Only by getting on another network. By the way, who thinks Fillion and Jason Bateman should play brothers in a tv series?

In fact, in one of the episodes of Castle, Fillion's character dresses up as Malcolm Reynolds for halloween, he calls himself a 'space cowboy'. Its great and depressing at the same time. And yes, I solely watch Castle because he is the main character. Same reason I watch Chuck, solely for Adam Baldwin. I need help, I know. But to get back on topic, the first two episodes of Bob's Burgers were enough to turn me off the show forever, I thought they were horrible. Did it really get watchable?

I didn't care for BB at first but I eventually got into it. Still I'm honestly surprised it got renewed.

This gets another season and they didn't even renew 24 for a 9th season to give Jack the proper send off? Wow. Well, the problem with 24 was that the production values were out of control. It was just too damn expensive to provide the return they needed. Comparatively, Bob's Burgers costs peanuts. And it's a refreshing alternative to the MacFarlane shows. You mean this isn't a MacFarlane show? It has the same randomness and toilet humor I hate from all MacFarlane shows. I'd rather what King of the Hill than any of the trash that is on now. It is kind of surprising that this show is getting a second season. I've never met anyone in person who admitted to watching this show. I watched one episode briefly and wrote it off as more horrible Seth MacFarlane garbage. Like the Devils Next Door or whatever that show was on TBS. Ick.

Bob's has a coherent story flow, and jokes don't exist just to be there. Plus there is character growth.

I'd also just like to say, that Tina is pretty much my favourite character on TV now. And that weird noise she makes whenever she gets nervous makes me laugh every time.
