Watching that ep just now (hence the sig) and it's so surreal that with the theme of the show how it feels so dated now. The line"What computers" referring to Apple is certainly amusing considering Apple is today the biggest thing in music delivery. And hey, Styx is currently on tour.

"Homer Simpson, smiling politely" is maybe my favourite line from the entire series.

I liked the appearances from the bands, but I liked Cypress Hill's parts, probably because they're one of my favorite rap groups. I liked the part when the London Symphony Orchestra played "Insane in the Brain."

Homer's flashback as he tries to approach a bunch of rockers gets me every time.

Can't talk about this episode without mentioning this scene...
Homer: Grand Funk Railroad paved the way for Jefferson Airplane, which paved the way for Jefferson Starship, the stage was all set for the Allen Parson's Project which I believe was some kind of hovercraft.

I was in the AV club, too, but they kicked me out for my controversial views on 'Nam...also, I was stealing projectors.
