I have vague memories of him as a child, mostly when thinking back on the shows I watched. They all get tied in together, like Wild & Crazy Kids, Nick Arcade, etc.

Yeah, the mullet was just serene. And I don't remember JD hosting Finders Keepers. I know Funhouse was the greatest great to ever greated in my childhood, though. Looking back, it was just a Double Dare clone, though...  |

He was the host of Finders Keepers as well, am I correct? Never was. The first host was Wesley Eure, who was on Land of the Lost (the original), Days of Our Lives, and created the PBS Kids' series Dragon Tales. The second host was Larry Toffler, who didn't do much of anything after his stint on the show. However, he may told a unique distinction- being the first game show host ever to become a contestant AFTER hosting a game show, as he has been on three of them throughout the last 10 years. You're right, it wasn't Finders Keepers. There was another one right around that time... Think Fast? Or maybe I am just thinking of Funhouse and don't recall the show off the top of my head.

The crazy thing is he just KEEPS showing up on game shows. I remember seeing him on some kids version of survivor 3 years ago

He was almost like having a big brother back in the 90's.
Would love to meet him one day. He produces a lot of stuff now (reality shows in particular.)
