Isn't Molly Holly a minimalist, or did that come along later?

D-Lo Brown is a CPA and so is Reckless Youth. 100K a year type of job.
I have a strange fantasy of getting back in the business once I become an MD for the heck of it.

Lufisto does graphic design and, looking at the quality of her websites, she could have stuck to that for her living.

I remember watching Beyond The Mat and there was an interview with Spike Dudley and he said that he was a school teacher while training to be a wrestler. He did say that he quit being a teacher because he loved wrestling.
Of course, school teachers don't get paid as much as some jobs mentioned here, but I just thought I'd mention this.

My dad questioned why Chris Nowinski would be wrestling if he went to Harvard, makes sense now that you think about it.

I heard or read somewhere that George "The Animal" Steele was a college professor who wrestled part time. Is that true?

By thread title alone, I was going to say Lanny Poffo. Thank you WCW. Dale Torberg landed a pretty sweet deal with the White Sox so he didnt have to bounce about on the Indies. Possibly due to his Dad. I remember watching him run infield drills when his dad managed the Marlins. He was a remarkably good sport about being called Demon by a jackass like me.

In fairness to Notwinski, he was only around for about a year before he got taken out with a concussion, but now he's a head trauma expert and he's only 33. He's done very well for himself.

The Destroyer was a teacher and swimming coach in New York. He was an Orange Bowl participant on Syracuse's team in 1953.

Austin Idol. Could have been a huge star based on appearance and promos alone, but he made and still makes huge money in real estate in Pensacola, FL. For this reason, he never felt the need to travel far from home or make a big run in the NWA or WWF.

True, but having made that degree from Harvard carries a little weight in the job market. I mean, who wouldn`t want to hire a Harvard grad to just say that they did?

Someone else mentioned D'Lo Brown. I always liked D'Lo but wasn't crazy about him or anything, but I listened to a shoot interview and he seems like a great guy. Very intelligent, well spoken and seems to have a great head on his shoulders.

I mean wrestlers who, through their day jobs or what have you, really don't have to depend on wrestling to financially support themselves, but do it anyway. Many (perhaps most?) indy wrestlers. Zandig - CZW's former promoter and now a retired wrestler - ran a construction company while doing CZW shows once a month.

they call sting real estate steve because he owns so many houses. A lot of wrestlers from the 90's are in real estate. Sting does SoCal, Undertaker does a lot in Texas, and I want to say Lanny Poffo was big in Florida.
