His name is Alberto Del Rio, and he's your next World Heavyweight Champion.

He reminds me of The Rock in-ring (..only better) And as a character, is like a blend of a bunch of guys. He's great...his biggest thing he needs to work on? Improv. Ya can tell the guy feels mighty awkward the few times he hasn't had scripted lines. Yeah, his moments on commentary were just...not what I expected out of him, since he's been golden in every other area.

I love him but I do question if he's catching on with the general audience.

I don't. Every time I see him, all I think about is how much I miss Eddie and JBL. Lol.

No idea why the IWC is marking so hard over him. It's like they're so desperate for the next gen Rock that they'll throw affection at anyone.
He's not had a breakout match yet and until he does, I won't be seeing him as a big deal.

he's fantastic...awesome in every way
the ONLY thing he's missing is this: where's his MOTIVATION in becoming a champ/chasing the main title? since entering SD, his only goal seemed to be humiliating/destroying Rey (and Christian to a point)...only when he had that 3 way dance a few weeks ago for the WHW title shot he kinda showed that he wants the title (when he came out wanting to face Kane for the title)

I think he's great.
I wasn't watching Smackdown when his vignettes aired, or when he debuted, but when I first saw him, with the guest announcer, his entrance and then in the ring, I was immediately impressed.
Even more impressed when I realised it was Dos Caras Jr, and underneath the mask, he had the perfect face to be an arrogant, superior heel.
Regarding his lack of improv skills, I'd guess that English is not his first language, so that spontaneity might not be there. It's tough to come up with witty remarks in a second language, no matter how well you speak it.
Just get him away from Mysterio, that's all I ask. Give him a feud with someone who will actually lose a few matches, clean.

He's amazing in the ring. For some reason I haven't really latched onto him all that much though.

Edge vs Del Rio at the Royal Rumble for the belt.

Sick of him wrestling Mysterio. Other than that, I'm all about him.

I think he's excellant myself.
It's the little things that he does which I like, like the smug smile, the smirks, winks, his eyes widening with mock fright when someone confronts him etc.
Plus he's excellant in the rigng with most of his offence been centered around working on the arm.
His mic skills could use some work though, sometimes he sounds a little awkward and he needs to get away from Rey Mysterio.
