I miss the days when WWE.com would announce the signing or re-signing of new wrestlers.

Its WWE and womens wrestling what makes you think this is going to be done well (If this is actually true)? WWE doesn't care about the womens division and when they do care it seems like it only lasts for 4-6 months.
I hope all goes well but keep it in perspective.

she will be called Kim Ala, daughter of future WWE Hall of Famer Kam Ala he had his name changed after he learned how to bowl and became a lounge singer. Kong slapping her belly repeatedly during matches = ratings and buyrates I was thinking more of her being normal and embarrassed by her father. Give her a teenager type gimmick where she runs away from him and locks herself in her room turning music up loudly.

The signing of Kong has so much potential. With Kong you now have in the divas division: Natalya Beth Gail Kim Melina Tamina Awesome Kong With that list the WWE can turn the divas division into what the Knockouts division was. Somehow they'll screw it up though This

Some of these recent posts make me feel like the eternal optimist when it comes to situations like this, because honestly, I think it will be almost impossible for WWE to screw this up, mostly because, like Bryan or Punk, Kong is just too talented. However, almost more important than her talent is her completely unique look. Her presence is just too jarring to ignore. Even more so, she has her character and movements down, which really works to get her over in the absence of mic time. Yeah, some may say that Kong is the absolute opposite of the look that WWE likes, but even at the most superficial of levels, the spectacle alone of a woman that imposing almost guarantees that Kong will be used right. The WWE obviously sees talent in her, which is why they signed her. And really, it's very simple. Giant presence=intimidator. I know that the Isis the Amazon girl that WWE signed could have very well fit this hypothetical description as well, but it felt like the higher ups in the 'E didn't feel confident enough in her wrestling ability. That is obviously not a problem with Kong.
I think she will work well in an enforcer role for Laycool --which would indeed be the smartest debut for her in my opinion-- in the heel role, and will inevitably work as sympathetic friendly giant face when Laycool eventually turns on her. My only concern really is after that first big feud and blow-off. Where do they go from there? Unfortunately with someone like Bryan, there was the big Miz feud that was amazing, and then there hasn't been much else to speak of storyline-wise since then. Momentum is so important in a situation like this with these signings whose reputation precedes them, and I hope "Creative" have some artistic juices left after doing the Laycool bodyguard storyline.

It'll be fine if they change her name but if they change her look and gimmick it will be a disaster.

I have a hard time imagining her as a face. Whowould be the heel to face her? I reckon she should come in as a heel, squashing people, and eventually get beaten by Beth.

I'm allready salivating at the thought of a Kong-Glamazon feud or Kong vs Natalya. If all goes well maybe WWE can lure Trish or Lita out of retirement but let's not get our hopes up..

YES YES YES! I was watching an old 98 Raw last night and was thinking to myself "I wish they had someone like Chyna around now". And I've been pissy all week about the rampant misogyny going on after seeing King and Cena picking on Vickie. And now, it's like an extra Christmas present if this is true. Kong is easily my favourite female wrestler ever. I adore the idea of her being a surprise Rumble entrant so freakin much!

The funny moment will be when she wins the Divas Championship. Big badass Awesome Kong carrying around the girly butterfly belt would be one hell of a bizarre image.

Real early in her career. I got a dvd from Highspots with her early Japan matches when she was 1/3th the size and talent. The bigger she got, the better she became. Literally.

And I doubt we'll ever see Aloisia. She burnt her bridges with napalm after she left. what did Aloisia do anyway to get in trouble with WWE?

Lied about pictures she took in the past and kept running her mouth to anyone who would listen. She would had probably kept her job if you had just shut the f*** up.

Nothing was ever really confirmed, but the main belief is it was a combination of her lying about not doing risque pictures (when she had), and then talking to any wrestling site or radio show that would have her about the whole situation.

Wasn't she also (reportedly) linked to an escort service?

I just watched the video of her dancing with Sonic Youth playing over it. It worked oddly well
