I had a dream last night where I was hanging out with Linda McMahon and John Cena showed up to inform her of his injury and that he would be out for 9 months. so if John Cena is out for 9 months, well then you heard it here first. (side note to all the comments about the cage: that's the exact same cage they use for all house shows/dark matches. It's easy and quick to for them to assemble.) Did Linda then fire you (or Cena) and kick you (or Cena) in the nuts? No, Linda started getting worried, so our meeting came to abrupt end. After that I traveled to Arizona and met John McCain after having a bbq with a group of gold miners. John McCain was showing off new rail lines that he had built. ...I think need to stop drinking Vault late at night >_>

Good to know it might not be as serious as we feared. I may harp on the guy, but lord knows I don't want him hurt.

That is hopefully good news. I hope they will at least give him a couple of weeks to rest up, which would still help to sell the beating Nexus gave him, while allowing him to take some time off which he needs, and yet still be back in time to hype the Rumble.

Guy's friendly reminder about the rules of this board.
We have rules against wishing harm on any individual and celebrating someones injury falls into that.
I'm not saying you have to leave well wishes and pretend this is super happy fun time, but please leave snide remarks about how this pleases you to hear Cena is possibly hurt out of here.

I hate seeing Cena on WWE TV, but i hope to hell he is ok. The guy works too hard, and I dont wanna see him injured. As tedious as he is on TV, I will always remember the way he got injured badly in 2007 (you could SEE the muscle was in the wrong place and his arm is hanging limp) and not only does he finish the match, but still goes ahead with the post match beatdown.

I could believe Cena wanting a lighter schedule. But wanting to do UFC? I just can't see it.

Well, some people are missing the joke.
That's a news report about Brock Lesnar supposedly wanting to leave UFC and make a WWE return, only with the words changed.

Its a logical thought except for the MMA idiocy. I'm sure Cena looks to guys like Rock who have stepped away and still maintained the spotlight AND kept their health. Conversely, you have Austin, who is a magnetic personality and rich beyond any of our dreams, and he's got all the injury issues to this day, throw Hogan into that same pile as well. Cena could leave today and still never has to work a day in his life and would definitely find work in other entertainment avenues. Cena has proven he's smart, and this idea that he may want out isnt very far-fetched, but to say he wants to do MMA is just laughable and takes any legitimacy out of the idea and squashes it like a bug.

Yeah I was going to say it looks like someone found replaced the words Brock Lesnar with John Cena, and swapped UFC and WWE.

Oh, didn't know that. My mistake. What got me was the amazing number of word for word similarities. But also mainly, it says Cena wants in on the UFC, but he wants to avoid injury. Yeah, going in to mixed martial arts is the way to avoid injury. He would probably no sell a Shane Carwin right hand.

Even if the injury isn't too serious, Cena should still stay off TV untill the Rumble. For his physical health as well as for my mental health.

And for those of you (like me) who wondered what a "hip pointer injury" was: A hip pointer injury is extremely painful, acute injury to the iliac crest of the pelvis. The injury causes bleeding into the abdominal muscles, which attach to the iliac crest. The bone and overlying muscle are often bruised, and the pain can be intense. Pain may be felt when walking, laughing, coughing, or even breathing deeply. sportsmedicine.about.com/cs/hip_groin/a/hip3.htm
