WWE's results when branding new people are... mixed, but there are some that stand out as being pretty good and some that are particularly bad. What are your main examples there?
Personally, my favorites there are Wade Barrett, Evan Bourne (though that doesn't count, since he thought it up himself), and, while it took some growing on me, Marcus Cor Von. The changing in spelling helped. So did the theme music and the fact the guy's actual name is pretty meh.
Worst ones? Lucious Cannon, Gunner Scott, and Skip Sheffield probably. Asked me six months ago I would have said Dolph Ziggler, but it's grown on me a lot; it kind of fits the weird, semi-quirky and totally different from everything theme Ziggler's got going on. As did the random pink trim on the gloves for that matter.

I can't see Ziggler ever becoming a main event player with that name though. Just makes me think of Boogie Nights whenever I hear it. Just too silly to me.

The worst by far is Michael Mcgillicutty, I hate that stupid name so much!
Did WWE come up with 'Showtime' Percy Watson? If so that's the best by far! I love that name and I love that man and I want him back on my television!

I wonder if creative watched Boogie Nights before thinking of that name. Sounds too much like a name for a porn star. Same with Jack Swagger. I second the part about Michael McGillicutty. When I hear that last name, I can't help but think of Beulah and even I thought that was a stupid last name, despite it being a real last name. The one thing I wonder is why creative decided some different names for second generation wrestlers and still mention that they are sons of wrestling legends. Like Husky Harris being the son of Mike Rotunda and grandson of Blackjack Mulligan, same with McGillicutty being the son of Curt Hennig. At least with Ted DiBiase, Cody Rhodes and DH Smith that there's still some connection in regards to the names of their fathers. What's next? Richie Steamboat going under a different name and still acknowledging that he is the son of Ricky Steamboat?

Cant really decide on a best, but I remember when NXT Season 2 was announced and I was on here. Husky Harris, Michael McGillicutty were just terrible. Husky's has grown on me a bit. Its still hokey as can be, but McGillicutty is so random and anonymous when he's a Hennig!

If McGillicutty wasn't such a long name, I'd be ok with it.
Like if it were Mike Warren it would be better. Is his mother's maiden name actually McGillicutty, does anyone know?

Michael McGillicutty is the worst one. It seemed like they just decided on sticking something that could be adapted to sound like Cutter for a finisher.

Ezekiel Jackson has probably the strangest name. I mean I can actually see a writer, after watching Pulp Fiction, at a meeting saying "Hey, wouldn't it be funny..."

Braden Walker, Ryan Braddock, Daniel Bryan (I still hate it, and will only refer to him as 'Bryan' so I can at least pretend - he'll always be Bryan Danielson to me), Scotty Goldman, Michael McGillicutty...
Michael Hickenbottom... oh wait, hang on

Are we talking like, when WWE give them names that are meant to be like, actual names, or stage names? Cause if not, Edge is such a good name.
For name-like alter egos, Conor O'Brian is brilliant. Ha.

I still like the name Ricky Steamboat..if they're going to bring Ritchie up with a different name I hope they use his real last name so he's Ritchie Youngblood.

I thought Vance Archer was a pretty crappy name. Yeah, how can the commentators convince the audience of the intensity of a guy named Vance Archer? They might as well have called him Herb Shtinkwater.
