I don't think they could have made it more obvious that it was about Cena. He makes the speech during Raw, only comes out during the PPV that Sunday to comment on Cena's match, and then attacks him the next night on Raw. I'm saying this now and you can quote me on it. I'll eat a hat if it's not Cena vs Punk at Mania in some way. enjoy your hat. I don't think they'll stretch the feud to Mania. Especially since if they did they'd probabably also have to stretch out Orton/Miz. I agree. Cena/Punk will probably stretch to Elimination chamber, but from there will probably lead into what will end up being Cena/Miz. Probably some setup like Smackdown star wins Royal Rumble. Raw Elimination chamber for #1 contender slot. Cena pins punk in EC to become #1 contender, Cena/Miz for the title. It's possible that after cena/Miz, they may reignite the punk feud as cena's first challenger. That's my speculation anyway.

I feel that my prediction is right on, even though I've been wrong most of the time in the past. But if it does come to that... hot sauce.

Triple-H takes over>CM Punk gets massive push>The internet collapses in on itself He hits Cena with a chair and everyone takes it as a given that he's winning the title at WM. I think y'all are jumping the gun.

I just find it hard to believe WWE can make it last until Mania.
Also If I'm Vince and want to make money and wanting WrestleMania everywhere, I want Cena/Miz doing dual promotion on every radio station, late nigth talk show, TMZ etc..
Now of course I'd take Cena/Punk at Mania as the promos should be good and the match should be aswell.
On the Triple H subject, I'd really love to see what would happen if Vince gave Triple a year without bothering him. I think it that happen WWE would be better.

Seriously, the guy has 1 loss at Mania, and he has fought for a championship every time (first match was for the US). At Mania? His match against Mysterio at WM26 didn't involve a championship.

If HHH taking over booking directly influences a clean Punk title win over Cena at WrestleMania, then I will cry with laughter. Not out of my hatred for Cena, but because of HHH's reputation on the net, and him seemingly doing a solid for the IWC.

Yea, Punk's NEVER had a title match at Mania, so clearly that's not who he was talking about. I don't think it's very far-fetched to have Punk-Cena at Wrestlemania. Like others have said, they'll both be occupied with the Rumble and then the Elimination Chamber, so by the time Mania rolls around they'll be able to have a nice blow-off match. Then again, I wouldn't be too shocked to see WWE give them a match at the Rumble or some random Raw and end it there. They've been kind of rushing with their booking lately.

Even if Dave did get it from a writers mouth, hell even if he got it from Vince McMahon, it still wouldn't be news.
Anyone watching the show could've deduced that this fued may run to Mania, or may not.

Meltzer has interviewed and is on good terms with so many people in the industry that I don't doubt that he hears this stuff from the lips of people in the company. Then why didn't we hear about this before they planted the seeds for it on the air? There have been plenty of times where his "insider information" can easily be deduced by regular fans who follow the product simply based on what is on television. They plant the seeds for a Punk/Cena feud on two separate occasions on TV, and out of the blue, Meltzer has insider info that they're planning a Punk/Cena feud that may or may not stretch to mania. Well no s***, sherlock. Thanks for the news flash. Then explain why he flip-flopped so many times during the Daniel Bryan fiasco? He changed his story so many times that even he eventually gave up and admitted he had no idea what's going on. "The best of the worst" isn't necessarily good. I've seen him flipflop on the Bryan thing. I've seen him use the "plans change" card to cover his ass when he guesses wrong too many times. I've seen him be completely wrong too many times. You want to believe in him? Fine. Wanna pay 10 bucks a subscription? It's your money. But to me, he's nothing more than a guy living off of his past reputation, knowing that if he doesn't have real information, he can completely make it up and nobody can prove it. And given the amount of times he's flip-flopped, been completely wrong, and used the "plans changed" card.....he may not be making it all up, but the amount of stuff that he pulls out of his ass is not insignificant. It also gives newz sites an automatic out to maintain whatever shred of credibility they have whenever they're found to be wrong yet again. I didn't realise that there were seeds for the fued that specifically put Cena vs Punk. Where were they?

Well there was the diet soda incident And Punk has been bashing Cena ever since he got on commentary so it's wouldn't be too far fetched to think a feud was going to start a few weeks ago.

Actually, I got a feeling that this year, there will be a multi-man WWE Title match. Miz vs John Cena vs Randy Orton vs CM Punk (c) (I figure that since Barrett and Punk seem to have switched places, Barrett will be facing Bryan for the US belt there). Also, there could be Edge vs John Morrison for the World Title, Christian vs Del Rio, HHH vs Sheamus, Undertaker+ Big Show vs Kane, Otunga, Harris and Hennig, MITB 7, the tag title and Divas match.

But if it does come to that... hot sauce. The day Punk vs Cena main-events WrestleMania 27 is the day I march down the street in my underwear proclaiming "You Can't See Me". Punk/Cena won't be happening at WM27. All the pieces are in place for the Miz/Cena route to happen.
