One other thing I think we are forgetting here. Vince, despite all his shortcomings, has a tremendous amount of respect for people that are loyal, and stick to their word. Sting never left WCW, was never part of any "jumping ship" or "screwovers". He was loyal to the company that made him a star and I think that would have been a big reason that Sting would have been fine in WWE. Even till this day we hear stories about Vince and loyalty. He made sure Danielson kept his word and honored his indie commitments after signing with WWE. There is also the story of (forgot indie wrestlers name) canceling his remaining indie dates and Vince let him go because he wasn't a man of his word. Sting was a true professional, never screwed a company over by jumping ship, and honestly seems like a good guy. He would have been a star in WWE. If that's the case then DDP and Booker T should've been treated with respect as well since they both were loyal to WCW and never jumped ship.

Sure, Sting would put over WWE's biggest stars, and I'm sure he wouldn't have a problem with it. That doesn't make him "buried" though. He'd win the world title at some point. No one in their right mind would expect Sting, or anyone else for that matter to be undefeated.
Vince LOVES money above all else, and with Sting, their is money to be made.

Sting was five times the star that either of the two you mentioned. If you look at the whole package, Sting is far and above 99% of anyone to come out of WCW.

If he loved money that much he wouldn't have screwed up the Alliance, the nWo, and Goldberg's WWE runs. Sting would have had a Booker T type of run. Over with the crowd but never gets that really big win.

He would've gotten a nice push, and I can see the 'E having built "dream" matches between himself and The Rock and HBK especially.
However, I don't think he would've stuck around long. I think part of the reason TNA appeals to the Sting'ster is their schedule.

The only reason why he used to the Invasion storyline is so he could make a point. WCW for the longest time defeated him in ratings and burying them was his way of getting back at them. He still made money of it but at the expense of more talented, over, and younger wrestlers who put his talent to shame. The Invasion, Goldberg, and etc was just a way for Vince to stroke his ego and make himself seem like a God.

I don't think so. In fact I think a lot of why anyone else was buried was due to Sting not being involved in WCW at all. Him and Flair were the true gems in the WCW crown all these years and I'm absolutely sure that it was they that Vince envisioned at the head of the angle. Its who any of us envisioned. Goldberg,Hall, Nash, and Hogan would have also done quite well, but Flair and Sting were WCW. Without the major figures all the rest just felt like consolation prizes that would have to due as best as possible. I loved Booker, but he was only relatively recently brought up to the main event in WCW and most people were apprehensive about his draw power. What happened to Booker could have been handled better, but was in absolutely no way representative of what would have happened to Sting.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Flair wasn't ever buried during any of his runs. Sting would have put over the biggest stars in WWE, and would have won the world title at least once, if not more.

I think he wouldn't have been buried, but I can understand his concerns. Some guys in the Invasion were booked very poorly.
Bear in mind that Sting has consistantly said that Vince has always been a class act in conversations with him over the phone, and he came very close once or twice to making a move. I think if TNA hadn't come along and Sting had seen a chance to work with some old friends, with some young talent and to make a comfy paycheque he would've been in the WWE years ago.
Still hoping he'll finally do it. I expect it to be very short-term, but that would be good enough.

They could've made a goldmine out of Sting mask sales alone. I seriously doubt he would've been buried. People talk about all of the ex-WCW guys being buried, but look at Rey Mysterio.
