Yeah, the updates and patches should work just fine, at least they have for me.
It's just no downloadable content or redeemable codes can be used until the Store is up.

Yeah, if you haven't downloaded the updates, as soon as you enter the game in, it'll automatically check for updates.

Not sure how real it is but someone on twitter (RT'd by the awesome fake PSN account) is claiming that there is "another operation on Sony" forthcoming and that it would be "the end of the company."

You go ahead and do that< i have too much invested, and this was a screwed up situation Sony is trying to make right, no matter how long it takes. I can deal with it. It hasn't negatively affected my life.

The only thing that has really bothered me about the entire ordeal is the way many people have reacted.

The only thing that has really bothered me about the entire ordeal is the way many people have reacted. Exactly. It's really gotten to the point where I've heard so much legitimate whining and complaining that whenever I hear something, even if it's meant as sarcastic, I just wanna punch that person in the face. Although, at the same time... I think my revenge will come when I'm playing Uncharted 3 and they aren't.

So....guess who is calling the NGP the PlayStation Vita now? Sony themselves(kinda)! Two things: 1) I hope this is just yet another code name, but I doubt it is. 2) Sony just can NOT keep a secret, can they? Every damn major announcement they seem to have is always freaking leaked...

that's a terrible name. it soounds like a fast-food item, like some kind of vegetarian pita sandwich.
then again the Wii is a stupid name and that thing sold like hot cakes, so what do I know?

But while there is a shit ton of people screaming about boycotting Sony, only a small fraction actually will do it. The bravado gets annoying, and just like everything in the world... the idiot majority is speaking for, and tainting, the minority who will actually follow through with their claims, boycott Sony, and never look back.

I'm mad about that myself. What really annoys me are the people who go "Wah! I can't get online! That makes my PS3 USELESS!" Because it's not like you can play games offline or watch DVDs and Blu-rays or anything.

Fair enough. I have no intentions on selling my PS3 (I love blu rays too much) but I am considering buying my multi-platform games for the 360 from now on. And I definitely won't be putting credit card info on there again That's fine. I'm mad about that myself. What really annoys me are the people who go "Wah! I can't get online! That makes my PS3 USELESS!" Because it's not like you can play games offline or watch DVDs and Blu-rays or anything. Yeah, that was annoying me too. I barely play any online games (just started in November when I got Black Ops and EA MMA) so not having the online game barely affected me. I do miss the store for demos tho

So my bro picked up both Bioshock games pre-owned for almost $30 total (first was $20, second was $8.99 for some reason). Anybody want to give their thoughts on the game? Is it worth playing?

Oh yeah. Love the first but, despite having it since launch, haven't played 2 yet. I'm the same way. I liked the first a LOT.. .got real close to the end, then my HD died on my 360, thereby erasing my entire progress up to that point so I haven't been real enthused about starting over. I have the second for PS3 just because I found the collector's edition with the art book and soundtracks at Target for 16 bucks. Still haven't played it yet... I have heard nothing but great things about it, though.
