Hafner does it again and it looks like the Jacobs Field Progressive Field magic is back.

Mets win again and I think this image sums up the game tonight in Houston:

I really wish Matt Underwood would stop calling Indians games. He hurts my soul.
They should try to bring back Jack Corrigan if they can pry him away from the Rockies booth.

The Tigers are streaking, Verlander is pitching like an ace (finally) and the best part is, Cabrera's been in a bad slump. Now we just need that Indians collapse that everybody says is coming, to actually come.

I like how Bernadina lands hard on the back of his head, so what does Laynce Nix do? Pat him on the back of the head.

The White Sox hold off Oakland, winning 4-3. The team is 5-2 on the West Coast swing with 2 to go, a guaranteed winning record - a trip that usually kills the team deader than Kelsey's nuts.

So Brandon League suffered his fourth loss this week. The last reliever to lose four times in one week?
Fausto Carmona in 2006.

Here comes the collapse that the baseball world was hoping for. The Indians forgot how to win. I don't think anyone outside of the AL Central was "hoping" for Cleveland to collapse. I do, however, think everyone was "anticipating" Cleveland's inevitable collapse.

I don't watch much baseball but I saw that 12 inning game the other day. Seriously, for a closer, the guy sucked so bad it's not even funny. Two dead balls with a one run lead in the last inning of the game? I mean, Vargas and Wright pitched great. You could feel secure with them. League? God, he was so out of it it wasnt even funny. Just make Wright the closer if you're at it

No, they're hoping for a collapse so people don't have to talk about them anymore, and they can focus on more important things, like the Yankees and Red Sox.

Jorge Posada pulled himself from the starting lineup tonight and has asked to meet with the media after the game. I think he may be hanging it up.

@joelsherman1: I hear Posada is not retiring and also that #Yankees were not on board with him pulling self from lineup, clear clash here
