So Judgement Day has come and gone, and, while I'm sure everyone has their own thoughts, I'm sure we can agree on one thing. They're all completely insane.
Kahli beats Taker with BOOT TO FACE and the Jericho pin? The HELL? Let me get this straight, the dot-com, as they say, reports that he's sloppy and they think he has no future, so you put him over Taker CLEANLY? How many people who have had finishers and offense kicked out of and no sold for the last 15 years (since it's part of the gimmick) are going Luger now?
They break up MNM...wha? So now SmackDown is back to, more or less, ONE tag team again? Smart move, boys and girls. I realize tag team wrestling is worthless in WWE, but come the hell on, people. Nice to see Kendrick and London get the push, but can they have someone to face that's a real team, maybe? Please?
Rey, who has one ONE match since getting the title, gets squashed left and right, and wins clean? Not that I'm complaining, since they had to save the character, but good God, now JBL looks worthless.
Oh, and King of the Ring...what the hell? KOTR should be, and in a lot of minds was, being used as a stepping stone, a way to elevate a young talent. So Booker wins? What?
I have no problem with Booker, I like him, I think he deserves a push, but the point is, he should've already BEEN in the title picture. Winning title after title, everywhere he's gone isn't good enough, so now they need a "reason" to push him? Huh?
I'm ok with how Lashley lost, since it furthers a hisotry beteen he and Finlay, and continues the learning process, but come on now. Groom a guy, make him the monster that no one can touch, and he loses in the final because...why?
Feh, I give up.

Actually, Rey didn't win clean. If I read the results right, JBL went for a chairshot and had it kicked in his face.

Booker can spin (and live off) the King thing for longer than Lashley. I mean, do you ever stop being King? There may be another tournament next year and maybe not, but Booker (like his lame dame) can wear a crown forever now and who really cares? Meanwhile, Lashley can go on to bigger things (Intercontinental?) with the added push of having been screwed and this paid his dues. I do not understand the 'Taker loss. I do not understand the Angle loss. Unless both want more time off. And, if as rumored Rey Rey needs time off for rehab, someone has to beat him sooner. I am glad the bah o rocks known as Melina is gone for awhile. Like most "firings" she can now go onto Raw, I suppose.

How many people who have had finishers and offense kicked out of and no sold for the last 15 years (since it's part of the gimmick) are going Luger now? I have been watching Undertaker since he was Mean Mark back in the early WCW days. I cannot remember one single match in his entire 16 year WWF/WWE run that he has EVER jobbed out clean in a total squash match. Ever. If they were intent on jobbing the undertaker SD-Jones-style, they should have at least jobbed him out to someone with a promising future. Even the WWE doesn't believe in Khali. Why the **** should he have been given the distinction of being the first man to squash Taker? There's NO way you can convince me that this was anything close to a good decision. If they insisted on having Taker lose to continue this god-awful feud, I could think of 100 ways they could have done it. And all 100 of them are better than the "total squash" option that they chose. I said the same thing in another thread. Considering that London/Kendrick are the only noteworthy team in the entire division, the fact that they're the champions doesn't say all that much. To make matters worse, he was pretty much getting squashed for 99.9% of the match. JBL had to take a 619, fall over, get up, look around, then for seemingly no reason, fall over again to take what IMO was one of the worst frog splashes in recent memory. It was a no-win situation. Booker winning really doesn't get him anywhere he shouldn't be anyway, and IMO Lashley is still not ready for a title hunt. He'd be another victim of being pushed too far, too hard, too fast.

RANDOM FACT
Nitro has only been in WWE for a few short years but this is already the second time that he has been fired. He is obviously trying to beat Stone Cold's record of 42.

Well, I'm glad I didn't order this PPV, as it sounds horrible. And I guess we'll never get the MNM entrance in Smackdown vs. Raw now. Man, this sucks.

SD does have some other teams... Benoit and Albright Gibson and Kash The Gymini Mexicools(whenever WWE wants to use them) OK, there ARE tag teams, however, Benoit and Albright are just starting as a team. They'll be fun to watch, and I too can't wait, but they're not quite established as a team yet. Gibson and Kash...if they get used on TV, again, I'm happy, but that's a big if. Mexicools, see Gibson and Kash. Gymeni...no, just no. One is injured, so they're on the shelf, and thank God they're not on my TV.

Man, this sucks.[/glow] Damn, I just realized that. It may get in as an Edit though, like Matt Hardy's, Lesnar's, Dudleyz, etc. from last year. Hopefully we'll have Mercury in the game though...I know we won't have Nitro or Melina though.

Gymeni...no, just no. One is injured, so they're on the shelf, and thank God they're not on my TV. Actually they are replacing the injured one with Lex Lovett of TNA fame. That's right there will be a THIRD Gymini. Khali beating Taker makes since because they spent good money on Khali so they will drag out this feud like all Taker fueds. I am predicting a casket or buried alive match @ SummerSlam. I understand splitting up MNM, what more can they do (outside of face Londrick...again) except feud with each other? But that will not happen due to the "fired" angle. Which is nothing more than suspending Nitro and Melina for dating and spending all their time together in the back instead of...what? Yes, Melina and Sharmell faught why not punish both? Rey? I can't explain or understand this. He is boring as hell as World Champ and has to face people he just can't mesh with, good call there. The KoTR final works as they will drag out the Booker/Lashely feud and hopefully elevate both to title runs (Lashley=US, Booker=World)

So, what's the deal with all the backstage Melina hate? I knew she didn't get along with the girls, but I didn't hear anything about her having trouble with everyone else.
And I looked for a thread on the topic and didn't see one, so if anyone could fill me in, I'd appreciate it.

It isn't a Jericho pin without a flex-pose and a 'Come on, baybeee!!'

I'm sure they'll be back, but from what I've hear, the "Wrestler's Court" is a very serious deal backstage. It sounds silly, but if you go to court in front of Taker then you have done something very wrong. Not good for Melina.

The idea of 'Wrestler's Court' would be pretty serious.
I mean, these people are on the road with one another for 250 days a year, minimum.
I can't imagine that a veteran like Taker would look too kindly on anyone being a crap-disturber.
