I don't know if this has ever been breached before, and I know by asking the question, I sound like a somewhat paranoid conspiracy theorist, but I've always wondered if Cena's STFU was ever meant to be a shot at the IWC, or just the coincidence of it combining the STF with Cena's FU for the name.
If you think about it:
-Cena busted it out after they built off the idea that Cena not only didn't have a submission move in his arsenal, but that he had a kinda limited arsenal to begin with, something many Cena haters have been bitching on him about. -HHH also hit on his limited arsenal, and he ended up tapping out to it at WM22.
I know, it's tenuous at best, but it something that makes me wonder...

I don't think Vince really pays much attention to the IWC

Well, when Cena made Triple H tap out at WM, I guess that was one big "STFU" to the haters...
I don't think the move itself is a shot at the internet fans. It actually kind of reminds me of a few years ago with The Rock. I think Benoit challenged him to a submission match or something, and everyone was all like "Rock doesn't have any submissions, how is he going to win this one?" During that match, however, he debuted one of his most feared moves...the ARMBAR! From then on, he would occasionally use that and the Sharpshooter.

He should called it the "ROFLMAO" now that would be a shot at the IWC.

Not only that but the worst looking sharpshooter I've ever seen. He barely lifts his opponents legs off the ground.

It's just a play on words. Acronyms. Whatever.
WWE doesn't have the time or desire to crack in-jokes at the expense of an imaginary supergroup that only exists in the minds of a handful of people on one web forum.

Um, you DO know that WrestleCrap didn't exactly make up the concept of the "IWC", right?
Unless you're being sarcastic of course.

The first time he did it, I cracked a joke saying "Hey look, it's the STF-U, get it? cuz he already does the F-U so it just works well, yeah I'll shut up" or something to that effect. Then they started calling it that name next week. My point? I'm really starting to get sick of them stealing my ideas and not compensating me for it

If it was WCW instead of WWE I might think it is since they played to the internet smarks. WWE doesn't care about the IWC, or at least they act like they don't.
I'm surprised there isn't an internet wrestler. His finisher could be called "PWNED!" His set-up moves include the "O Rly", "Teh Hawtness", and the Visagra which he would call "Surprise!Buttsecks!"

i think its something the IWC is reading too much into. the move is called the STF, but because Cena does it, its the STF-U.
end of discussion.
