Categories to come later today... hopefully. I've been having bowel issues thanks to the food from last night, and I've already missed work as a direct result.
So... yeah. I'm not in great spirits, and I still feel very tired.

Alright, you five, here are your next categories: Category #1: Upbeat Tracks! With this category, you must select an upbeat song. No meanness/anger in these ones!
Category #2: Album Title Tracks! In this category, you must select a song that is the lead song on an album. An example that has already been used (for reference) is Randy Savage's "Be A Man". I hope you can find one like that as well... expect for better.
Category #3: "City" Slickers! In this category, you must select a song that specifically mentions a city somewhere in it. It doesn't have to be the name of the song, it just has to be in the song. With that, GET TO IT!

The save is a nice Christmas gift for the both of us, Michael. Thank you judges. Speaking of which, will we have our sing off songs revealed/the would be result? Just an in case, if I get bottom 2 again, I'd like to try a different song choice for that, but I'd still like to see how the one in the past round would have done. If not, I'll save that song choice for the future. For the Album Title Track theme, it is songs that have the same title as the album, is that correct? If it doesn't have to be, please let me know. I have all three of my song choices ready, just making sure before I send them in. Hope everyone had a great holiday and hope you get better soon, PKS.

I WAS going to withdraw my objection last round, but it got misinterpreted (my fault), No seriously, good to see it get used and hope that everyone uses this second chance to blow the judges away.

Can I just ask whats an Upbeat Track? I know I was eliminated from the game but I'm just curious as to what a upbeat track is?

Usually a faster paced and/or happy sounding song, whose lyrics may or may not be happy, just the tempo, mainly. Basically opposite of sad/slow songs. Using an example of one of my own choices... um like "Young Folks" (Used it because you commented on that round.)

Alright, Rush, here are your answers:
Save your choice for the future. Both songs are still on the table as well as the artists.
For the Album Title Track, yes. The name of the album must be the name of the song you send in.

Alright. As of now, all 5 contestants do have songs in, but up to 3 of them need to change things around (if they want to) before I send out the songs to the judges.

Yeah, I would advise a change. No reason to mess up this round due to a technicality or a judge pet peeve.

I'll wait until the start of Impact tomorrow (9 pm EST) for those who want to change anything to do so. Then, I'll be sending the songs off to the judges for deliberations.

Scratch that. After the day I've had today (combination of grandfather in hospital with pneumonia, having to help my mother get her computer up and everything installed, and then having to deal with college), I'm extending it to tomorrow... whenever I wake up.

And we're back with the true Top 5 Results on FAN Idol. This time around, you were subjected to three categories- upbeat songs, album title tracks, and songs with a city's name in it. Out of you 5, one of you did really well. The other four were in the same general scoring area. With that, let's bring out the top scorer from last round, Junkenstein. He scored 58 points last round, and this round he scored: {Spoiler}42 points (Move On Up, 15 points; Graceland, 15 points; Streets of Philadelphia, 12 points) for a total of 100 points! Now, for the 2nd place player from last round, J. He scored 51 points last round, and this round he scored: {Spoiler}45 points (Hello Hello, 12 points; Fancy Footwork, 16 points; Panic, 17 points) for a total of 96 points! Now, to find out who is the first person safe. Coming up next is our third place competitor, smokinvokoun. He scored 42 points last round, which barely would have kept him out of the Sing Off. This round, he scored: {Spoiler}40 points (Sing, 15 points; Disco Inferno, 15 points; Bad, Bad Leroy Brown, 10 points) for a total of 82 points.
With that, Junkenstein is SAFE! Now, for the first of the two that would have been in last round's Sing Off had it fully been realized, Sudden Rush. He was just one point behind smokinvokoun at 41 points, and needs some good choices to get him out of the hole. This round, Rush scored: {Spoiler}56 points (Karma Chameleon, 21 points; I Love Rock 'n Roll, 20 points; Paris, 15 points) for a total of 97 points!
This means that with this one round, Rush is SAFE! Now, for the last place person from the last round, Michael Hayden. He scored a mere 33 points last round, and needs to score BIG in order to stay out of the Sing Off. So, did he make out of the bottom two? {Spoiler}No. Hayden only scored 42 points this round (Keep Your Head Up, 12 points; Confessions, Part II, 9 points; Pinball Wizard, 21 points) for a total of 75 points.
With the last result, J is safe, and the bottom two are Junkenstein at 86 points and Michael Hayden at 75 points.
Both of you will need to send in a Sing Off song ASAP where one of you WILL be eliminated. The full results: {Spoiler}

Songs in each group were listened to in random order generated from random.org
"Hello Hello" This might be one that grows on me as the day goes on, but it's not making an immediate impact on me.
"Keep Your Head Up" I spent most of the song searching through my computer files to figure out which competition this song was used in. Then I remembered I deleted the file. Good choice though.
"Sing" Felt a little played out for me. Maybe my uncle's love for the Carpenters made me sick of them. Maybe I'm just a horrible human being. Whatever the case, this wasn't a huge hit with me.
"Move On Up" Although I'm a bit disappointed that you didn't go with the theme from The Jeffersons... Yes, yes, a thousand times yes. As soon as that brass hits, your day just gets about 20% better.
"Karma Chameleon" Such a good song. Such a good, good, good, good song. Such a tough choice between this and "Move On Up."
Curtis Mayfield - "Move On Up" Culture Club - "Karma Chameleon" Andy Grammer - "Keep Your Head Up" Bic Rungy - "Hello Hello" The Carpenters - "Sing"
"I Love Rock n' Roll" Joan Jett: Walk in, rock hard, raise hell, leave. A classic for a reason.
"Disco Inferno" I didn't remember the song being that long... maybe I was intentionally trying to forget the second half.
"Confessions (Part II)" Y U NO USE FULL SONG? A YouTube search of "Confessions Part 2" returns the official video above this one and the full song below this. Even without the cutoff, it's a decent song, but not on the level of the other two picks so far.
"Fancy Footwork" I like this more than I think I should. I don't think it's a great song, but it's enjoyable.
"Graceland" I like-don't-love Paul Simon, so it makes sense that I like-don't-love this one.
Joan Jett - "I Love Rock n' Roll" Chromeo - "Fancy Footwork" Paul Simon - "Graceland" The Trammps - "Disco Inferno" Usher - "Confessions (Part II)"
"Pinball Wizard" I enjoyed the hell out of that.
"Bad Bad Leroy Brown" Didn't enjoy it as much as I did Pinball Wizard, but that's like saying having 300 million dollars isn't as good as having 320 million dollars.
"Paris" Sign #32 that I'm paying too much attention to YouTube memes - I half expected to hear "C'mon and slam! And welcome to the jam!" mashed into this song. It's a good pick, even against this stiff competition.
"Panic" Competition is just too stiff to put this ahead of anything.
"Streets of Philadelphia" I think my enjoyment of the song comes more from the attatchment to the movie than the song itself. It's good, but on it's own I can't put it in the Top 3.
Elton John - "Pinball Wizard" Friendly Fires - "Paris" Jim Croce - "Bad Bad Leroy Brown" Bruce Springsteen - "Streets of Philadelphia" The Smiths - "Panic"
