Alright, here are the results from Round 1:
Welcome to the results show for Round 1 in FAN Idol VI!
This round will likely be the easiest of the entire lot, as it allowed you, the contestant, to pick any song barring those from the last competition. Now, let's start this off in order of turning their songs in.
Untouchable, please come to the stage.
You chose this round Frenzal Rhomb's "Looking Good". One judge said that it was "unique and goofy", while another dismissed it as complete and utter dreck. The total score for you is:
{Spoiler}15 points; including one of the dreaded 15th place finishes.
Now, will bradbingham please approach the stage.
brad, you chose a song from KISS titled "God Gave Rock and Roll to You II". Two of the judges weren't so kind to you, while the third said it was "a great example of a power ballad". So, with that, I must tell you that your score is:
{Spoiler}14 points; also including one of the dreaded 15th place finishes.
After those two, I need a pickup. Zombo, please come up on stage.
Zombo, you chose "F*** Forever" by Babyshambles. As for myself, I've had a particular derision from this band back in FAN Idol IV: The Music Comes Home. Now, will the judges? Well... one of them felt "meh" about the song.
{Spoiler}However, the other two did not. You scored 23 points this round even with getting the third and final 15th place finish.
Now, that we have those out of the road, let's bring Demented and Harley up on stage.
You two selected one of U2's more well known songs "Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me". All 3 judges were unanimous in their feelings towards this song.
{Spoiler}And it was a unanimous yes. 42 points, with 2 of the judges scoring your song as the best in the round!
Next up on stage is Triwizard Champion.
The song that you chose was "Hip to My Heart" by The Band Perry. This isn't as well known as their biggest crossover hit "If I Die Young", but will it still strike a chord with the judges?
{Spoiler}It kind of did. The judges didn't exactly love it, but they still gave you 25 points.
Our next conestant up is Sheer Cruel Attack!
Cruel, the selection you made was Black Sabbath's "Heaven and Hell". Once again, the judges were split on this, as at least one really liked it and at least one really hated it.
{Spoiler}However, the third judge was closer to hating it than vice versa. Your score for the round is 22 points.
Coming up now is our competing Moderator, Sudden Rush.
Veronica, you chose Jet's "Are You Gonna Be My Girl?". Will the big black boots and the long brown hair get you a good score, or will the get back stare scare away the judges?
{Spoiler}Unfortunately, the stare worked. You scored a total of 19 points this round.
The next contestant up is Junkenstein.
He chose Sly and The Family Stone's "Dance to the Music". One of the judges didn't care for this song all that much.
{Spoiler}Thankfully, the other two did not, giving you a total of 30 points, including the remaining first place vote!
smokinvokoun, you are next up on stage.
Your song for this opening round was "New York State of Mind" by Billy Joel. At least one judge liked this song a lot, while at least one other didn't care for it so much.
{Spoiler}The third judge was right in the middle, scoring you 21 points.
Nimble Dash, please come up on stage.
The song you chose for this round was the seminal soccer song "Seven Nation Army" by The White Stripes. One judge docked you points for using a song from a previous FAN Idol. However, I would like to remind that judge that since it wasn't used in the last FAN Idol, it was fair game.
{Spoiler}However, the other two were a bit kinder to you, giving you a total of 26 points.
The next contestant up on stage is Orange.
Orange, the song you chose was "Back for More" by RATT. Did you squeak out a good score, or did you get trapped into a bad one?
{Spoiler}Once again, the judges were split on this. You earned a total of 25 points for this round.
Bergman, you are next up on stage.
The song that he chose for this round was "Long Way Down" by the Goo Goo Dolls. Will this song put you at the top, or will it leave you down?
{Spoiler}The judges didn't leave you this round. You scored a total of 32 points!
J, please come up on stage.
Your song for this round was "C'mon Talk" by Bernhoft. Will this relative unknown to American music be a hit or a miss to our judges?
{Spoiler}It was neither or. You scored a total of 22 points for this round.
Cageking, you are next up on stage.
The song that you chose for this round was Phoenix's "Lasso". Will you rope your way to a good score, or will the lasso tie you up?
{Spoiler}Once again, it was neither or. You scored 24 points this round.
For our final contestant, will Michael Hayden please come up.
Michael, after much deliberation, chose "Heavy Gretel" by The Shine. Will the heavier-than-normal gingerbread house keep him up or it will fall down on him?
{Spoiler}The foundation is cracking, but not giving way. You scored a total of 21 points this round.
With all 15 scores in, the two that are in the most jeopardy of going to a sing-off are:
{Spoiler}Untouchable and bradbingham.
However, you still have Round 2 to improve those scores, so please get those songs in!
