The worst thing about Mars needs Moms flopping so bad is that the planned remake of Yellow Submarine was scrapped. I so wanted to hear the genius that is Peter Serafinowicz as Paul McCartney.

Only one of these is really a bomb. If your movie costs 30 million to make in this day and age, it will make up it's buget on cable and DVD. Though, I was surprised Your Highness did so badly, sure I'm glad it did, but I still thought Natalie Portman Ass was good for 60 million.

Was The Beaver even released nationally? Nope. My friends and I were looking forward to watching it too. I guess Gibson really did piss off the wrong people in Hollywood

I predict Smurfs will be added to this list It could, but given Alvin was a big hit, it could be a hit.

it's kind of amazing that a movie makes 143 million $ and is considered a "flop". it'll probably make back its remaining costs in DVD sales though.
Mars Needs Moms was no surprise. that looked horrible, just like the other Uncanny Valley movies. hopefully it puts an end to that crap.
and lol at Mel Gibson.

I'd be willing to guarantee that GL ends up breaking even at the very least. I'll just be really disappointed if we don't get a sequel. Yeah, this one wasn't very good but all the pieces were there for a good movie, it just needs some tweaking.

...Hoodwinked 2 cost 30 million to make? That ugly-ass movie with CGI straight out of 1996 cost 30 million? ...where the hell did it all go? Hoodwinked 2's CGI is a HELL of a lot better than the original. It also would've made back its budget and then some if Weinstein hadn't sat on it for years and then finally decided to release it without any real promotion. Cory Edwards is pissed about it, and rightfully so.

Nobody wanted to see Mel Gibson in Jodie Foster's Beaver.

The order of the list is weird, it should be more like this, based on the amount the movie didn't make: 10. Judy Moody and the Not Bummer Summer 9. The Conspirator 8. Dylan Dog: Dead of Night 7. Hoodwinked 2: Hood vs. Evil 6. The Beaver 5. Drive Angry 3D 4. Barney's Version (No, Not the Purple Dinosaur) 3. Your Highness 2. Green Lantern (Currently Still In Theaters) 1. Mars Needs Moms

Looking at the first movie(which I actually enjoy for what it is), then looking at the trailer for the sequel, it seems like the CGI took about 5 steps down from what it was. The characters barely even move.

I was just going based on box office, and home video that I'm sure it'll at least break even. Still, I want that sequel dammit!!!

I loved Hoodwinked, but the animation could have been better done with paper cutouts.

Are box office numbers even all that relevant anymore? It seems like theaters are slowly losing ground to home entertainment centers.

Its surprising that, the narnia movies aside (and even then, only the first one), most recent films based off of kids books are flopping at the box office (not just mars needs moms and judy moody, but i dont recall beezus and ramona doing all that well either). Im not counting cloudy with a chance of meatballs as its so far removed from its source material.
