So Spider-man isn't involved? haven't his comics kind of sucked for a long time? Hell, I'd argue based on popularity at the current time (comic wise) you could replace Wonder Woman with Hal Jordan.

It starts off with both teams pairing off with counterparts, Bats vs Cap, Thor vs Superman, and Diana vs Iron Man.
Bats and Cap square off for like 20 mins before starting to fight.
Thor and Superman fight and shake the heavens until Thor gets the upper hand with his mystical lightning.
WW flashes bewbs at Tony and gets the upper hand by lassoing him, incapacitating him for a few minutes. Enough to step in and assist Superman against Thor. Thor and WW fight to a standstill while Supes recovers.
Meanwhile, Bats succeeds in incapacitating Cap, only to be sniped by a freed Stark. Superman himself winds up recovering and flies to Bats to check his vitals. IM tries to snipe Superman, but Clark sends Cap's nearby shield right into the helmet of IM's suit with enough power to knock him the F out. The shield ricochets and is caught in midair by Superman who speeds up into the sky to help WW. With he shield, he is able to block much of Thor's lightning. Thor, with no other choice, goes full power against Diana as a feint, which is successful, so Superman throws the shield to stop a bolt of lightning from taking Diana from behind (hehehe), only for the bolt to arc at the last second and shock Supes into unconsciousness. This sends WW into a RAGE, and after a few minutes of intense fighting, Thor and WW do it on Superman's unconscious back.

Somehow it's written that Wolverine wins.

Would've figured Marvel's trinity would be Spiderman, Capt. America and Hulk.

Would've figured Marvel's trinity would be Spiderman, Capt. America and Hulk. That is a pretty good MvC team.

I didn't think it would take us 'til Page 2 for somebody to speculate that Wonder Woman would wind up banging somebody.

It has been above average to excellent for about 2 years now. Some stinkers, but also some of the best single issues of any book over that time. The Rhino and Hammerhead character spotlights by Joe Kelly were phenomenal.

In terms of current popularity you could probably replace WW with Hal Jordan, but if you are going through their entire history, WW would keep her spot.

Superman takes Iron Man and Cap out in the opening seconds of the fight, leaving time for Batman to figure out that Thor turns into Don Blake when separated from the hammer. Once Thor and the Hammer are parted, Superman takes Don Blake out too. It's not even a fair fight, since 2/3 of the Marvel trinity are enhanced humans with no actual powers, and Tony is only on the level of Cap due to technology.

And this is assuming the Thor in the fight actually does turn into Donald Blake, which isn't always the case.

Gotta go with Marvel's trinity. Not only do I think they're more powerful (especially Superman, but never underestimate the Batman, especially with his ridiculous prep time and intelligence), but I also think those particular 3 heroes are far more iconic. While I like Iron Man and Thor, they were always kinda B-List heroes compared to Marvel's A-listers (Cap, Spidey, Fantastic Four, Hulk, etc.). Granted the Iron Man movies have changed that quite a bit in recent years, but yeah.

Would've figured Marvel's trinity would be Spiderman, Capt. America and Hulk. I would figure that the trinities based on current popularity would be Hulk, Iron Man, and Wolverine vs. Superman, Batman, and Green Lantern. In that set up whoever faces Batman will likely mess him up while it depends on which Hulk version there is to see how the outcome will be. I would laugh my ass off at GL if Iron Man's suit is completely yellow and he is the one that guns for him.

Superman would win on his own. he's not weak against magic, he just has no special defenses. people get that wrong a lot.

While that might work from a strict popularity sense, there's definite reasoning for making it the way this poll has it. Both sets of heroes are teammates on one of the main teams of their respective companies, and both sets have been established as being longtime friends.
