I don't do Random Matchups as often anymore; always the same pokemon over and over.
I play with friends, as there is a more variety and it's not taken as seriously.

Ok, so I was looking across eBay for a cheap copy of HeartGold or SoulSilver that didn't involve hacked games...and I get a laugh out of some of these guys offering copies pre-loaded with 493 Shiny Pokemon and claim it's not hacked. It sucks, because they claim the games have authentic event legendaries and the sellers have good feedback. I'm just not down to spend $40+ on hacked games.
(Seller claims game copy has Deoxys lvl 75 from Space Center Houston 10th Anniversary Event, Mew lvl 10 with Pokerus and Lucky Egg, Bonus Disk Jirachi, Toys r Us Manaphy, Shaymin, Regigigas, Dragonite and Darkrai, Darkrai Japanese Movie 7, All 4 Forms of Gamestop Deoxys, 11th Movie Shaymin, World Championship Weavile, Lvl 73 Celebi, Lvl 70 Charizard, Lvl 100 Ho-oh, Lvl 70 Latios, Lvl 70 Latias, Lvl 74 Entei, Lvl 72 Raikou, Lvl 70 Articuno, Lvl 70 Zapdos, Lvl 70 Moltres, Lvl 70 Dragonite, Lvl 70 Espeon, Lvl 70 Umbreon, Lvl 70 Pikachu with Light Ball, Lvl 70 Lugia, Lvl 71 Typhlosion, Lvl 72 Tyranitar and Pichu with Volt Tackle.)
Anyone think I should make a run on this? It says they're all authentic and Nintendo tournament ready. It also guarantees they're not hacks. I DO want a majority of those event Pokemon...

You know I'm really loving the Pokedex 3D app on the 3DS that Nintendo just released. It is really in depth, the only problem with it is, it gives everyone access to just 16 random Pokemon from Black & White(and it only will have B&W Pokemon listed, no non-Unova Pokemon), and you have to unlock other entries by using the StreetPass and SpotPass features of the 3DS, or to scan the special Pokemon specific QR codes with the 3DS' cameras.
Still, it is pretty cool. Thanks to a little animation button that causes the 3D model to move, I learned some things about the Pokemon that I didn't know before. Like that Hydreigon uses its two smaller heads like arms/fists because its animation has it swinging its two smaller heads in punching motions.

So I had a flat out Bide battle against a wild Timburr with my Throh (nicknamed Elmo lol). All we kept doing was Bide, waiting for one to hit the other, until we ran out of PP for it. So I used Rock Smash and 1HKO'd it. Go figure. It was quite entertaining. XD It's available for the 3DS at the price of FREE. However, I don't own a 3DS, so I can't get it. Neither do I, I was really referring to a punching Hydreigon.

No worries. ...but seriously, there needs to be a Dragon/Fighting type Pokemon that can punch your face off.

I could see that being good, but I want a fat dragon with Thick Fat, plain 'ol Dragon type, or a Fire/Dragon that isn't legendary with White Smoke. Not a GREAT ability, but it's good for neutralizing irritating Intimidates and stat drops that come with moves, like Icy Wind, etc.

Well, I think I'm about as far as I can go completing my Pokedex...for now. I think I'll take a break and try to hatch some Shinies using the Masuda Method. I'll go easy at first...and get me a Shiny Magikarp!! My Shiny Altaria needs a buddy.

I was thinking more like a slender, fierce dragon, since they are moving towards Fighting types not just being buff and bulky, but it'd be interesting to see something like the one you mentioned, too.

Bumpin this up if nobody else minds.
I know I promised alot of people at least some trades (I know I told Phil Ken I'd send Kyurem to him, and somebody else wanted a Rufflet). My internet seems to be working like a charm now and my little bro's recently-purchased 3DS can get online on our router (my normal jumbo DS doesn't work on our router's security type). So I can make those trades and whatnot if you all still want to.
...I could battle a few people too. Just no legendaries...and I don't mean the "No Tier 1 Legendaries" rule bulls*** my friends use just so they can send out Darkrai and Latios(as). Beyond that, use whatever the heck ya want. Though using Kingdra tends to piss me off...
...Slaking doesn't bug me too much though, I don't get why that thing is such a big deal.
ANYWAY...I'll probably log on sometime tonight (got some homework for a summer class and some reading to do first) and we could swap codes and whatnot and do whatever.

...Slaking doesn't bug me too much though, I don't get why that thing is such a big deal. Monster HP. Monster Attack. Surprisingly above-average Speed. Good movepool. In Doubles, teamed with a Skill Swapper, shut the game off because it's over, especially if said Skill Swapper has an ability like Early Bird (meaning that it's probably Flying & immune to EQ) that can be useful with a Slaking with Rest. Slaking has to be my favorite Pokemon to use. It's like me. When it gives a shit, it can destroy you.

Rule with Slaking - he's left a quivering, weeping mess in the sight of something that has Protect or Detect.

I've had bigger problems with several other ones, and in doubles battles no less. Then again, it was more me just dropping the hurtin' bombs my Tyranitar had.

all these pokemon battle stratergies go completly over my head, and I cant make head nor tail of them =/
Im a huge fan of the games, but I have only ever raised the ones that I think look awesome, as opposed to the ones who are awesome (Hence Why Cubone is my Number 1 even though he is apparently shite) x

I know for the most part which Pokemon are powerful and which ones aren't (had a Dragonite forever thinking they were still considered good, turns out they're rather low on the dragon totem pole now compared to Salamence, Garchomp, Haxorus, etc.), and I will consider abilities when making my teams (especially in flat battles where everyone's level is equal) and holding items I know that will help me out, especially when facing my little brother. That being said, I got the friends that do the EV training and know which "natures" provide the better stat boosts and have several pokemon in their boxes with the Pokerus and will catch/breed the same thing over and over just to get the right base stats and all that junk. That's where I draw the line for me. And for all of that I can kick 'em around pretty good every now and then. It doesn't seem to help them so much that they can just wipe the floor with me all the time.
