Yep. Yet ANOTHER version of Street Fighter IV is coming. Right on the heels of the Arcade Edition coming out, word is that Capcom is already working on "Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition Version 2012."
Really? Really? I don't even know where to start. I'm actually more bothered by this than I am the "Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3" release.

It's a free update, at least, just to rebalance the game.

It's free? Thank God...
But they're going to rebalance it? Begs the question as to why they didn't do that in the first place!

It's free? Thank God... But they're going to rebalance it? Begs the question as to why they didn't do that in the first place! Because they unbalanced it, pretty much on purpose, with SSFIV:AE. So now Capcom is going to go and try and fix it.

Honestly, with Street Fighter X Tekken coming out, I'm shocked they're bothering with this now.

SSF4 has a rather high level tourney following so rebalancing is expected.
I honestly have no issues with the Twins, they are not quite as bad as I expected and i use dhalsim. Hopefully they nerf Zangief a little as his damage with his throws are completely ridiculous, lol.

Balancing can be tricky. Playtest all you want, the players will still find new broken combos.
Just be glad we're not getting stuff like whatever the hell they were smoking when they made Cable in MvC2. That wave gun is absurd.

Or when they came up with the brilliant idea that Iceman shouldn't take chip damage when he blocks.

It's easy to say "They should have balanced it in the first place!" It's hard as hell to anticipate exactly how many different ways the players will find to throw off the balance. You have more players than play testers

You have more players than play testers Hence why it takes so long for Smogon to decide on tiers for Pokemon tournaments, etc. Stuff that doesn't sound bad on paper can be wildly overpowered or grind the game to a halt. I do not think Nintendo realized how powerful they made Wobuffet and Garchomp, for instance.

To think I was considering selling my Super Street Fighter IV and getting the arcade edition. It's understandable if I sold my original SF4 because of of Super 4, with the fact that in the original, you had to also unlock certain characters, but I guess maybe I'll wait to see if this upgrade is any good.
