I just watched the E3 coverage and it looks spectacular. My favorite setting (Fantasy) combined with fallout3/oblivion gameplay mixed with simply stunning graphics.
That ability to summon storms and 3d items is just icing on the cake.

That ability to summon storms and 3d items is just icing on the cake. So there IS cake!? SOLD! ;D That being said, really looking forward to this one as I enjoyed Oblivion immensely. It brings back memories of that daring escape from the prison sewers, fending off rats & goblins, promising the king's last wish to find his last heir to the throne... only to get completely distracted by the lush and vast surroundings of the world and the large amount of sidequests that I completely forgot about the main quest. Ah, good times.

Important Sounding Celebrity Narrator: "You are the Dragonborn, only you with dragonblood of ages past can defeat the monstrous .... wait a second where did that idiot go?"
Dragonborn Guy: "If I combine this cooked salmon with these nirnroot and add a dash of ectoplasm" ... *small explosion* ... "Yay! Slimy Salmon Sparklers!!"
ISCN: "You need to save this realm from impending ..."
Dragonborn Guy: "Now to go swimming ... Oooh a Mudcrab!"
ISCN: "doom ... I'll be in the tavern assuming they haven't all been burnt to the ground."

I'm definitely looking forward to this game, though I don't know if I'm going to get the PC or 360 version yet. Ideally it'd be the PC because of mods, but if the 360 version will run and look better than the PC version on my computer, then I'll go with that.
I LOVED Morrowind, but couldn't get into Oblivion at all. But Skyrim's world and overall aesthetic just looks so much better than Oblivion. Can't wait.

So, I read you can eat Butterflies. I know for a fact that I'm going to spend a few hours hunting and stockpiling them in my house.

The marriage concept really interests me. It says you can use them as a companion to fight with, so I don't know if I want to actually marry some nice gal or marry some giant super strong dude who can shoot lasers.

I never played Oblivion or any of the prior games. My cousin was huge into Oblivion and I watched him play a lot, but it looked kind of boring to me. Now that I've played the newer Fallout games I'm more interested in the Elder Scrolls series. I've never been big on the fantasy environment but the game engine is just so fun. I'll probably pick up Skyrim, but only after it's been out long enough that I can pick up a used copy for $20 or something.

Got a funny automated message from Gamestop about the game. This is part of the text version that Vonage recorded:
"Hi, this is Ivy from game stop calling to let you know that Elder school five. Tyrone will be available for pick up Thursday night at midnight." --------------------

It's just a bummer how it comes out so close to Saints Row the 3rd & Zelda I hear that, but for another reason. My roommate is getting Skyrim and I'm getting Saints Row 3. Thing is we only have one Xbox. I joke with her that she has 4 days to beat Skyrim so that I can play Saints Row, knowing there's no way that's gonna happen.

It appears the game has already broken the release date over in Belgium. I have a dutch friend who has had it since Tuesday, bought legit from one of the stores there.

So this game's being relesed on Black Friday? Do they want anarchy to occur?

I wonder if Bethesda will continue it's tradition of great graphics hindered by horrific animations.
