It has been discussed as one of the worst Backlashes in history. Ric Flair losing to that retread Jamal is BS. Mickie should have cleanly beaten that trash fitness model. Kane should have humbled, in the manner of the old country, Big Show. Cena is an Intercontinental title wrestler. He has no business being anywhere near the World Title. Carlito winning was BS.
All in all, it was a substandard card.

3.5/10
HHH bleeding like a stuck pig gave it an extra 1.5 points in my book.

No match worth remembering, no match worth talking about, no match worth watching.

Wow didnt think it was all that bad. Master is really a bad Wrestler. missed Flair Vs. Uggma cuz i thought i had to go back to work. If Trish got hurt so that match was ruined. Rvd and shelton was a very good match. slow start but they both got the spots needed and had very nice finish. The stuff with Kane is dumb. but Its developing the really dumb story line so hey good for them. Handicap match was good. Lots of nice spots. Main Event was good. even tho Cena won. Nice match. Nice ending to the show. Overall I was entertained. It wasnt the best show ever but its a brand PPV so you got to expect lesser quailty for the most part.
I'll still give it a 6

Just finished watching it. I expected to see a total and utter train wreck like the one known as Royal Rumble 2006, but this actually wasn't quite that bad although it was certainly far from a good PPV.
I did have quite a few "Christ, this SUCKS" moments while watching the show though, namely the Kane/Show match with its May 19th nonsense, Ooh-Maga destroying Flair and finishing him off with the THUMB SPIKE OF DOOM, Vince's segments and him announcing God's entrance to the ring (at this point I wasn't sure whether to laugh or cry so I kind of did both) and Cena totally noselling the low blow at the end (are they trying to imply that the champ hasn't got any balls or something?).
With that said, I did enjoy Shelton/RVD, the beginning of Mickie/Trish (shame about Trish's injury, that could have been a very good match although I would've been pissed had Trish won it) and HHH's sledgehammer and crotch chop rampage after the main event (not to mention his blade job that goes way up on the Muta scale), and the main event itself wasn't horrendously bad either.
As for rating the show... well, as it is, it had two pretty good/decent matches and while neither was exactly a match to remember, that is still one more decent match than this year's Royal Rumble had.
On the 1-10 scale I'd give Backlash a 4/10. Sure, it was a single brand PPV, but WWE can do much better than this.

Damn, am i the only one that liked Backlash??? It was good, not really good but good.
Carlito/Masters was better than what i expected (mostly cause of Carlito) . Yeah, Trish and Mickie was cut short due to Trish's injury. What did you expect from Kane/Show? You knew it wasn't going to be much of a match. McMahon's against HBK/God was decent. Vince had some good lines with God. RVD/Shelton i thought was great, definately the MOTN. Yeah, Flair losing sucked. And the Main Event was pretty good, lots of blood from HHH and lots of drama.
I give it a 7/10.

I'm gonna have to go with a 6. Would have been 7 had Cena not retained... I was quite pissed when he managed to keep the strap. Brilliant match between RVD/Shelton, HHH/Cena/Edge, Carlito and Masters was good, as was the God match, Mickie/Trish wasnt great but Trish got injured so meh, and Umaga/Flair was tripe.

Mickie and Trish were about to put on a classic before the injury. The match was unfinished and had to have a false ending so it gets no rating.
Umaga SUCKS. Period.
Chris Masters is STILL garbage but Carlito did some aerial moves to keep his little fans happy.
Shelton carried the workload in his IC title defense but RVD went over in the hijinks of the ending. Match of the night and a match of the month candiate.
Cena retaining after getting destroyed again? Where have I see that before?
Michaels getting destroyed. Fun but still boring. And Kane vs Big Show? Completely horrible. A 5/10. Thank you, Shelton, RVD, Mickie, and Trish for trying to salvage the show.

For no other reason than the fact that this was the first PPV I've ever attended live, I give BackLash a 10/10!!!!!!!!

From looking at the ratings, I'm considering myself lucky I didn't shell out the money to watch this PPV.
