Somebody already mentioned Grace Jones. Seriously NWO had so many members I swear Regis Philbin and Hilary Clinton were members at some point.

At one point that smaller ring was getting pretty full when they all came out. I would have loved for the nWo just get 5 to 10 more members so it they would be grinding elbows and they would have to stop and have a couple of the guys get out of the ring so they could do a promo.

Sting? Sure it was with the Wolfpac, but still. Yeah. The whole wolfpac thing was when things started to get REALLY sucky. In general everyone and their sister joining the nWo was too much for me and pretty much ruined the whole nWo and the main eventers who joined them.

The Giant joining was hot-shotted, it was supposed to be Davey Boy Smith. But the Bulldog came to a renewal agreement with the WWF at the last moment. The newsletters were all saying "there would be a new nWo member this week", and Bischoff played right into their hands. No way the Giant should have joined. What made the Giant joining even dumber was the fact that Hogan (via nWo interference) had JUST beat him for the title weeks earlier. Made him look like a total jackass

was spicoli ever an official member? He was like Disco Inferno became, a lackey. Unfortunately, Louie's death made his eventual membership a moot point.

Yeah, at least when Hart became the leader of the black and silver version, it was with months of build-up and surprising logic for a Vince Russo storyline (the Powers That Be come to WCW to reform the nWo and take it down from within, and specifically court Bret Hart to be their leader). Maybe not for the Hogan version, but the black and silver were all supposed to be guys hand-picked by the Powers That Be. Since Jarrett has always been Russo's boy, both in-character and behind-the-scenes, I thought it worked. The problem was when Russo was "sent home," Hart prematurely retired, Nash got injured, and Hall and Steiner were suspended. Jarrett was all that was left and only then seemed wildly wrong for the nWo. Also, as people that wanted to destroy WCW, the original four (Bret, Hall, Nash, and Jeff) made sense as guys who had issues with WCW. Bret had been handled all wrong since his arrival, Nash & Hall were the originators, and Jarrett was always seemingly being held back from reaching that upper-level, from breaking the glass ceiling, so to speak. Then there was Steiner, who could sorta say the same too, but he was more just an asshole who wanted more power and wasn't getting it with the old guys around. Guys like Flair and Piper, the old guard, were holding him back. To destroy the old guard and usher in a new era in WCW, the Powers that Be resurrected the NWO; kayfabe-wise, Russo's firing, the injuries and suspensions all wrecked the storyline, BUT what most people don't realize is that Russo's return and the start of the New Blood angle was actually a continuation of this; upon his return, Russo sought to finish the job he started, this time with Bischoff's help, and on a MUCH grander scale with even bigger goals. Some misfit pieces of continuity aside, the whole story of "Russo's Plan", on it's own and on paper, was actually very well contructed (intentionally or not). Unfortunately, like most Russo ideas, the execution wasn't just bad, it was GODAWFUL, and gave the man the rep he has today, basically.
