You know, I didin't get to see most of Backlash. I was on my way to work, but luckily a buddy had the video feed up, so I did get to see the main. I've decided this is worth a rant on the blog, so I'll go more indepth there to save space, but a few thoughts.
Trips bleeds buckets, takes a non table breaking bump on the Spanish announce table, and the bump of Cena's shoulders from the spear.
Edge bumps.
Cena...doesn't. Didn't do much outside, no sold a low blow, reversed the Pedigree what three times? And then he wins with a roll up? A ROLL UP? Come the hell on.
I walked into work and was told "this PPV kicks ass, everybody's busting their ass, and there's an hour left for the main. Trish and Mickie bumped, even Masters did a top-rope spot". So I of course said wow, everybody brought their A game, rock on.
Then I sat and watched. I watched Trips turn it on like he hasn't done in a while. I watched Edge, bad neck and all, do some big spots. And I watched Superman no sell a kick to the nads. Seriously, you can reverse anything, and a shot the boys doesn't hurt?
Feh. Sounded like a damn good show with guys busting their asses, but the ending just...whatever.

Keller's ratings
1 -- CHRIS MASTERS vs. CARLITO STAR RATING: DUD -- That's as bad as Masters has looked.
2 -- UMAGA (w/Armando Alejandro Estrada) vs. RIC FLAIR STAR RATING: 1/2* -- Not much to it. It's sad to see Flair used this way. Anyone else could have been used in that spot, such as a Scotty 2 Hotty type, and it would have meant as much. This doesn't make Umaga look tough, it makes Flair look like a has-been. Flair should be protected at this stage since he can draw as a legend; fans still love him. But every loss like this diminishes the impression that he's something special. Flair, used carefully, could be valuable ratings, house show, and PPV draw. Overutilized in losing situations, and he means little.
3 -- MICKEY JAMES vs. TRISH STRATUS -- Women's Title Match STAR RATING: 3/4*
4 -- SHELTON BENJAMIN vs. ROB VAN DAM -- IC Title vs. Money in the Bank STAR RATING: ***1/4 -- Slow opening few minutes, but the final few minutes were strong. The whole thing felt a bit rehearsed, though. At least they remembered to kick out during near falls.
5 -- BIG SHOW vs. KANE STAR RATING: Neg. * - That was a brutal match. The lack of an kind of a finish cemented it entering negative star territory.
6 -- SHANE & VINCE MCMAHON vs. SHAWN MICHAELS STAR RATING: *** -- Nice spectacle match. Not always pretty, but it told the story it wanted to tell well enough.
7 -- JOHN CENA vs. TRIPLE H vs. EDGE (w/Lita) -- WWE Hvt. Title Match STAR RATING: **** -- Good brutal spotfest. They handled the three-way situation as believably as possible. Main event worthy.

angryfan you dissing wrestlers for respecting requests of fans who'd ask them not to put themselves on the line for those who disrespect them:proof positive you need to learn respect and consideration for wrestlers. Youwant to be treated like you treated HHH, Trish Stratus and other wrestlers? What about if you were the one to bleed and be dizzy and nauseous...PFFFFT! Why don't you go do it for 8-10 years or so instead of hassling others for what you yourself wouldn't do.

Not sure what the blue hell you're referring to, since I don't badmouth pepole for busting their asses. I applaud their willingness. However, if I don't like something, I don't like something, simple as that. Oh, and by the way, I'm a satirist, therefore, I approach things differently than some. As for the "things I wouldn't do". Guess whta friend, I was in wrestling school at one point, but my doctors refused to clear me thanks to 16 brain surgeries when they found out I was taking bumps. Thanks for playing.

LOL, that was pretty much their reasoning, except they didn't even use pictures, just lots of emphatic gestures.

The PPV was ok, I gave it a 6/10, at least Trips laid out the Chump Cena and Edge to a huge ovation.
I think the longer he's without the title, the longer Trips will have it, once he gets it back.

angryfan, the only way you'd be anyone's buddy or friend is if you were willing to earn it. I had to laugh at your excuse about supposedly being at wrestling school while "having sixteen brain surguries that supposedly your doctor didn't clear you for." You washed out of wrestling school because of your lousy attitude. No one would want to work with you if you don't care about them or how they feel. Why do you seem to believe that wrestlers should have to bust their asses and get injured? What kindness and consideration do you show them? Fans attitudes caused Edge to get that neck injury by pressuring him to do matches whether he wanted to or not. Same with John Cena getting the torn mcl knee injury and broken wrist. As well as Triple H injuring his thigh and having his brains scrambled a lot of times. That's being inconsiderate towards John Cena and other wrestlers because of those who expect them to get injured! John Cena and other wrestlers don't deserve that sort of treatment. What you think, wrestlers should have to suffer or be harmed just to prove something to you or keep you entertained?? No friggin way.
