Ah yes, I vaguely remember that now! I wanna documentary and all though.......don't I? Not likely gonna happen because lets face it, a Bio isnt enough. It would also have to have matches and The Body's matches were beyond terrible, even for the time.

I'm sure they could dig up at least a few acceptable, if not great matches (he did team with Adrian Adonis after all, when he was a good wrestler) not to mention all of Jesse's promos.

Not truly a retirement, but Bobby Heenan didn't return to the WWF/E after Gorilla Monsoon threw him out of the company until Monsoon had passed away. You could kayfabe consider he was too scared to consider returning with Gorilla still alive. Did Gorilla and Heenan have legit heat with each other? I've always thought they were on good terms throughout their respective WWE careers.

Muhammad Hassan. Hassan guaranteed that if he didn't defeat The Undertaker at The Great American Bash, he would leave the WWE forever.(Course, this was due to the censors of UPN wanting Hassan off the air.) Undertaker gave him the last ride through a hole in the stage. They later said Hassan has sustained a lot of injuries. The next week, Theodore Long said that Hassan will not appear on Smackdown anymore and as far as he's concerned, he can go to hell. Hassan hasn't been seen in WWE since. The guy was never heard from again. Nobody knows what Mark Copani is up to nowadays except for the man himself. But I wonder this, did he suffer a bad injury after that Last Ride through the stage. I have the DVD of GAB 05 and when I saw that happen, I am like "How would he not be hurt from that?" unless there was a table or padding under the stage and then they were removed when the camera was shooting him.

Heenan was leaving, so they came up with the idea of Gorilla FINALLY throwing Heenan out, like he always threatened he would do. It really was the perfect exit for The Brain.

Did Gorilla and Heenan have legit heat with each other? I've always thought they were on good terms throughout their respective WWE careers. No heat. Bobby has routinely referred to Gorilla as his best friend in the business, going so far as to call Gorilla's death a tragedy in his life & in his family's lives.

Not to mention that Bobby gave Gorilla a moving send off on an episode of Nitro despite the fact that Monsoon had never worked for WCW.

In wrestling, its cliche that when a wrestler (kayfabe) retires due to a stipulation made or such, they come back at a later time, be it weeks, months, or sometimes years. However, what were times when said wrestler stuck to his/her guns in storyline or better yet real life? Marc Mero - The Marvelous One said that if he lost to Duane Gill, he would quit the WWF. He lost, so he had to retire. Though he did have a match at Capital Carnage(a UK PPV), the storyline was he made a prior committment. Its been over 12 years and he still hasn't appeared on WWF/E programming since. I think its safe to say he ain't coming back. And people say WWE doesn't know how to do the slow build. Mero's return will be EPIC!!!

The gimmick battle royal at WM17 doesn't count? Gorilla died about 18 months before that. Jesse Ventura maybe? I know he had a few matches after he was diagnosed with the blood clots in his lungs but were they his last matches? Did he announce his retirement before those matches or after? Or did he ever announce it at all? Far as I could remember, it was serious enough to end his career. You never want to take a chance with blood clots, no matter where they're located on the body, for fear of one breaking loose and ending up someplace else. However Jesse got his announcing gig, that's why. Vince isn't a complete, uncaring jerk. Jesse had charisma, so why not have him do some announcing? It doesn't take a lot of effort and you won't get hurt. But he never gave a statement saying "This is my last match." But he did say he's retired from the ring, but not from Hollywood. For years I'm sure you remember Jesse saying he could be coerced back into the ring, 1) to face Hulk Hogan for the title, 2) only if Arnold Schwarzenegger trained him. That wasn't all kayfabe. He was serious.

Just a silly question: if you're "retired", yet still wrestle for the rush and enjoyment of it (not getting paid), are you still considered "retired"?

Daivari and Hassan are still friends, last I can recall Hassan did a few conventions recently but I don't think there's an interest in wrestling anymore.

I think I found Hassan on Facebook and he doesn't look much different than he did then. I kept on wondering "Is that him?", as well as "That has to be him". I looked at his friends list and noticed that Daivari's wife is one there. So I guess it was him.

Speaking of Monsoon, he lost a retirement match and retired after fulfilling his remaining bookings. Of course, he wasn't in the best of health even then, but he stayed retired.
