I don't think I'll ever get why people hate the guy so much.

I don't think I'll ever get why people hate the guy so much. I don't know about everyone else, but I just find him very irritating. He's not all that great in the ring, and his shtick is very, very old. I could never get into the guy. WWE made the right call to release him, in my opinion.

And he would have been released by now even if he wasn't released back when he was.

He certainly wouldn't be getting the push he is in TNA. I may be a little biased, but I'm very glad WWE fired him.

He'd probably be where Kofi Kingston is now. Floundering in the midcard, having to put over people who bypass him into the main event, even though he'd probably do quite well in the main event himself. People here are awfully strange when it comes to alleged "potshots". His complaints sound pretty legit to me. WWE chained him and tried to make him something much less endearing than his normal self. Given the mic and high points, rather than a script written out by WWE "creative" to recite, he has been giving anything but "bad promos". wrestlers play characters as much as any actor. If he can't do it then that's not the WWE's problem.

Not the popular answer, but all politics and issues/injured etc aside..I felt like Kennedy was being groomed to be "The Guy". Or at least on one of the bigger SuperStars in the 'E. Would have liked to have seen that happen.

Would have liked to have seen that happen. he was definately being groomed for that. But he kept getting derailed. I think most people figure WWE would have gotten fed up

I'm not saying he wasn't groomed, anyone that wins MitB is to some extent. My issue is that he just wasn't that good. He would be a decent midcarder, winning the IC/US title every few years to remain relevent, possibly being given a Main Event Title run during a rash of injuries (assuming he wasn't one of them), and being a reliable lower Main Eventer.....putting over the "Big Name" draws but never getting a sustained push.

I'd probably still be mistaking him for Bob Holly.

I've never understood people's fascination with this guy, so I'll say he would have been released long ago regardless. Yeah, I agree. He's easily one of my least favorite wrestlers of the last 20 years. Literally everything about him annoys me. He should probably be stocking groceries at Walmart or something instead of being pushed down the throats of wrestling fans.

I think people are being too harse, how is Ken's Mr Kennendy...Kennedy crap worse than Miz is awesome? *adds context* Of course he was a bone head with the drug issue. I'm just saying don't judge him on his gimmick...I don't know, silly post by me.

How is it that he wasnt that good? I loved him. Thought he had mic skills. A nice moveset. A personality. He seemed comfortable out there. Funny. He was clearly over. So if it was the injuries?..I mean, The Orton thing was always controversial. The Cena Injury could've been a botch. The lying thing..yeah..Etc. I know he messed up a lot, but to say he wasn't good? Around that time the IWC was gushing over him. In TNA, I think he's been doing good work. And hasn't gotten injured...besides being given a legit botched concussion.

Ever since Anderson went to TNA I've been of the opinion that his injuries were caused more by WWE's hectic schedule than by his own shortcomings. The fact that he's only had one injury since leaving WWE, and the fact that that injury was 150% NOT his fault, says a lot to me.

What it says to me is what it's been saying all along: shit happens, to everybody, and you're either lucky or you aren't. he's been a little luckier now than he was in WWE. Think of when Kevin Nash tore his quad. Now, either he "walked wrong" or bad luck happened. I'm inclined to think it was the latter, rather than him being made out of some kind of squishy gelatin like people paint him as.

If he was still with them now and was more fortunate with injuries?
He'd be the man, he'd be a multiple time World/WWE champion, and he'd have beaten most main eventers clean by now.
He was being groomed for that spot with his 'I defeated multiple World champions!' run, and I think he'd have fit in that role easily if it wasn't for the politics and his own idiocy at points. I still love the guy anyhow.

3 time champion, maybe back to back MITB winner and predominately on smackdown.
