As great as it was to have Booker T on commentary, it will be a real shame if it means Matt Striker is out of a job.
Is there any news on what is happening with him? Will he promoted to the Raw commentary team?

I was bummed by this as well. Guy is my favorite on commentary currently.

Chances are Lawler will be retiring soon with his current storyline so they'll shift Striker onto Raw.

I think he is doing commentary on superstars for now. I hope they didn't lose hope on the guy.

he did commentary at the rumble, so I think he has job security on the table. I see Lawler retiring at mania, matthews going to raw and striker on smackdown with booker x

Awesome! Honestly when I read the thread title I thought it would be something about him appearing on What's Happening, Now? back in the 80's, if I remember correctly he was a child actor. |

If Striker is out, I blame Cole and his sickening degree of only being able to put himself over. I know he's a "heel" announcer, but it's intolerable. Wouldn't even let Striker TALK.

I'm also wondering if Jerry is retiring this year. If so, that's what happened to Striker. I think it'd be a cool storyline to see a Lawler vs Cole match at Wrestlemania - if Cole wins, Lawler is fired. If Lawler wins, the Anonymous GM is revealed on Raw. Lawler wins the match, the GM is revealed to be Michael Cole himself, and Cole proceeds to fire Lawler anyway.
