I stopped by WWE.com just now and it has this article about Kurt Angle being Hurt on the front page. www.wwe.com/inside/news/angleinjuryDo you think he is actually injured, or is it just part of some sort of storyline?

The story sounds phoney to me, but he probably has to take off time because of his neck.

I think the Henry injury is just a storyline way to write him out. He is injured but I think it was before this.

THey're furthering the "rib injury" he got when Henry splashed him. Complete work, though I'm sure it's to give him time off to rest his neck.

I figured it was just a work, because of the way it was written.
I just wanted to see what everyone else thought about it.

It's not a work, news of his injury was released last week.

Sounds like he really is hurt to me. The table spot sounds like a work to get him off TV, while putting Henry over. Geez, Henry taking out both Batista and Angle makes him look like the ultimate monster heel on SmackDown.
Heck, having Booker T advance without facing Angle will just play up Booker T's character.

so in other words great writing.
You know though, this frees up another spot for a guy to step up.
I'm not the only guy who'd love to see Khali/mysterio for purely the visual?

As it allows Booker, the new Gobbledegooker to advance to the KOTR finals, maybe this will be revealed as a plan.

The rib injury is a work but he is legitimately injured in whatever other way and needs time off. Yes.
I'm even more surprised they let Orton go knowing this was going to happen. We'll have Batista back soon, but I mean... Smackdown's main event scene is kind of brutal right now.

Story definitely sounds like a work.
No matter how many people Henry hurts, no one cares because he's a useless sack of **** the WWE should stop pushing.

Yeah, sounds like complete BS to me. Angle was probably hurt, but not from the world's lamest slam or gayest splash. Mark Henry: "Hey look at me. My two big moves involve my fat arse falling on people. Gimme a title." No one takes this sack of crap seriously. Henry is a frickin' joke.
This allows Booker to advance. Otherwise, they would have had Angle beat Booker and we all know that Book is being pushed right now. I'm thinking Booker vs Lashley. Lashley wins and becomes champ later this year after taking the US title off of a great American and an American He-ro. This is the year of Lashley.

and Kurt is hurt, be it his ribs or neck. He needs to rest. They do that all the time with Newcastle. Every rugby match where we try and help them develop they have players fron Bew Castle Falcons. Ugh! As for the ribs Kurt was screaming really loudly and told the ref he thought they were broken when he couldnt know if the crowd or cameras could hear him.

The ribs are obviously worked. Wrestlers often shout stuff like that to sell their opponents offense, without knowing for sure if the cameras can pick it up.
Whereas it was reported before that his neck and shoulder are legit injured at the moment.

Great. Great great great great GREAT. You know, more and more I think WWE won't have a choice but to alter their plans for CM Punk. If and when they finally bring him up, he may HAVE to go to Smackdown! just to round out the card.
IF this is a work (of course knowing that SD!'s injury was; the Newcastle one seems indeterminate at the moment) then this has turned into a flat-out jinx on Smackdown! fans. So who's now left that's main-event ready? JBL (oh joy...), Mark Henry (Good Lord, NO), Booker (eh, that could work), and MAYBE Benoit. Otherwise, you have a bunch of guys that aren't ready to be brought up to that level yet: Hardy, Finlay, Lashley, etc.
I get the feeling OVW's roster is the one that'll be thinned out soon. They won't have a choice but to start bringing guys up and building them up, once they realize that almost NOBODY will care about a long-term JBL/Rey or MH/Rey feud.
