I remember that day well. As I waited to log on to the internet with my 56k modem, I put in a cd of Linkin Park to listen to. After logging on to AOL, I went to 1wrestling.com. I had heard rumors that Vince wanted to buy WCW, but it was still a shock to read the news. I immediately went to WWF.com, and five minuets later the image loaded informing me the WWF had bought WCW. I made sure my VCR worked and that I had some blank VHS tapes, which we used to record tv in those days. I took the onion off of my belt changed into my bed cloths to settle in for what would be a surreal night. I turned on my cable tee vee to TNT, and there was Vince. The world has never been the same since.

I don't remember much about the actual day other then being sad as I liked WCW. WCW Saturday Night was the program of choice when going to my grandparents house. I never had cable so it was hard to watch the Monday shows other then going to my grandparents. Sure I watched Superstars when it was a Sat morning show but still WCW was my favorite. It was the best because it was more wrestling. Vader was the f***ing man when in WCW. I still miss WCW. My brother does too. Random WCW clip time is my favorite use of Youtube.

I remember how shocked I was that day. I remember hearing that Bischoff and Fusient were trying to buy it, but AOL/Time Warner screwed them over and cancelled their time slots making the company worthless. I even remember sitting on my floor with Vince McMahon appearing on Nitro and couldn't believe it.

It was a normal day. I turned on my computer. Clicked on "WWF.COM" and BOOM
WCW's logo was there.
I was stunned.
