There's a difference though -- Chris Jericho wasn't competing against 14 other people at the time. For what it's worth, I wouldn't fault Rima if she first went up to the trainers and made a case why she should be allowed to use the padding until she gets used to things. But she didn't -- she tried as long as possible to hide it and to gain an unfair advantage against other contestants, and should have been DQ'ed accordingly. True, he wasn't, but people who were talking about it at the time were talking about how it was disrespectful to the business, how it's something no one should ever do, and then Jericho says he did it. If one of the greatest of all time admits to doing something, I begin to think something isn't as bad and disrespectful as others make it out to be. Yes, you are right, she's on a reality show. But what she did wasn't something someone should have gotten kicked off immediately for. She had padding in a cardio test. It's not great, and she should have been called out on it, but it wasn't automatic DQ worthy, I don't think. And I do think that if it wasn't Rima but, say, Matt, who had done it, people wouldn't be calling for an automatic DQ. And I do think that there is something missed in all this, and that's the fact that technique can be taught. She's green and she sucks, yeah, but what she's lacking in is something that can be improved. Rima looks good, he won Miss USA, and the WWE stopped being a "wrestling" company a long time ago. She will win in the end or even if she doesn't she will be in the WWE at some point because the WWE likely sees the most money in her. It's really that simple. Then again, I thought the Miz would win Tough Enough for the same reasons, but it is harder for a male wrestler since that pool is so deep. The female pool is shallow and Rima will stand out. Win or lose she will be a bigger star in the WWE than anyone else in the contest. And I don't mind that....well, in as much as I don't mind ANOTHER useless Diva clogging up tv time, but that's another thread entirely. I don't mind that, I just wish they'd be honest about it and sign her to a contract outright, instead of wasting everyone's time with the most obviously rigged reality show in history. My problem is, people call it rigged based solely on the fact that she wasn't eliminated the first week, and keep claiming it every week she isn't eliminated regardless of what actually happens and what everyone else does. And people go to greats lengths to justify that claim that go well above and beyond what we see in the show.

I am starting to respect Rima a little more, especially when she made it through the course before a number of people, and she's also green as grass. She's still taking a beating, and she's asking for more help, and taking more bumps so she could improve, especially since she's so far behind experience wise in regards to a lot of the other people. Hell, Christina Crawford was signed simply because of her sister, who had the greatest match in the history of pro wrestling. She was literally a random chick off the street type of person, and she had 6 months of training more then Rima down with Dr. Tom in FCW.
I was annoyed last week when MDogg was gone, because even though it is right for Austin to grade Cross and Rima on different levels, he got screwed over, so I think that lead to at least my frustration with Rima. But, she gets beaten down and keeps coming back, so I'll give her that at least. And she at least wants to get better.
