Whoever's announced first is usually the biggest inductee, and being announced this early pretty much means he'll be in an angle. It'll either be Goldberg or Shawn Michaels.

If they are going with the WCW-theme, I'd like it if they either induct Alundra Blayze or Luna Vachon. Both should really be considered for Hall of Fame.

If they induct Alundra Blayze, they'd have to get over the whole women's-belt-in-the-trash thing. And take the risk of her showing up on iMPACT with her WWE Hall of Fame ring, and throwing that in the garbage too. Because of the established magical properties of WWE Hall of Fame rings in the TNA Universe, there would be a big explosion, and a super powered trash monster would appear. The trash monster would feud with RVD, until (swerve!) it turned face for shock value. Then the trash monster's identity would be revealed: ED LESLIE!

I was sure they would announce Arn Anderson, as its been rumored that he is a lock, along with someone else. But now I'm starting to think it will be HBK. There has to be a reason as to why they are announcing the first inductee so early. I'm thinking its becasue ticket sales for the ceremony are slow, and they want to sell it out. Thus they want to get a big name confirmed so people will buy tickets. HBK seems like the best realistic option at this point

Anybody but Warrior and I'll be happy. Though I think Savage is WAY overdue.

My picks:
Rick Rude Arn Anderson The Road Warriors Sting (Maybe) Goldberg (Maybe)
and the headliner to sell the tickets: HBK

If they deny Ravishing Rick Rude another year, I RIOT! In the post-Benoit era, I really don't think WWE wants to remind anyone about wrestlers who've died young thanks to steroid abuse.

So when was it confirmed that it was gonna be a WCW-centric HoF class? Last I heard it was just rumors and not to knock anyone, but almost everyone is acting like that's a cold hard fact.
If ticket sales are slow in recent years, I would think the one to sell tickets would have to be someone that's been off longer than HBK. No disrespect to HBK, but unless he said without question this was his final time on WWE TV, then I just don't know. HBK, with all due respect, would be the only person that would make sense to announce this early, but not have much of an impact. It would make perfect sense, and yet not be worth it this early at the same time.
If the rumors on a WCW-class are not true, the only people I can think of buzzworthy this early are Savage and The Rock. I haven't seen it mentioned yet (if I missed a post that said it I'm sorry) but maybe the rumors are true and we get Lesnar and an angle involving him to boot. Can you argue that Lesnar hasn't done enough? Of course! But they've inducted lesser people (the celeb inductions) and Lesnar tore it up while he was here then tore it up in UFC. Makes sense to me.
If it IS WCW, Sting would have to be the guy. Flair and Hogan are already in, Goldberg wouldn't be bad but again, I dunno about building it around him. Nobody else but Sting that I can think of, has the combo of being one of the elites in WCW and also not having been inducted already.

He already went in back in '09. The induction video's on YouTube. Even WWE knew better than to hold off on cashing in on Bradenmania.

I didn't know there was a thread for this, but Shawn Michaels my prediction for the first inductee that is hyped as maybe the greatest superstar of all time. He fits the mold.
