yeah, this PPV was awesome. Indeed. Well worth the $44.99 plus tax spent.

Miz is gonna win it back tomorrow.
Notice how they had Riley explicitly say he had a rematch clause?

2011 WWE Extreme Rules Thoughts
Last Man Standing Match: Randy Orton vs. CM Punk I was surprise to see this open, but it was a really good opener, but I felt there could have been more.
Tables Match For The United States Championship: Sheamus© vs. Kofi Kingston This was a good match even with the dead crowd. Also the finish was great.
Country Whipping Match: Michael Cole & Jack Swagger vs. Jerry "The King" Lawler & Jim Ross This was bullshit again. The feud had some much heat going into Mania and now has very little if that.
Falls Count Anywhere: Rey Mysterio vs. Cody Rhodes This was a good and fun match. I wish Rhodes won, but Rey bringing out the mist was great. Booker even brought up The Great Muta.
No DQ, No Countout Loser Leaves WWE Match: Michelle McCool vs. Layla Good Diva’s match with a twist as it more of a brawl, but a good brawl.
Debuting Kharma(Amazing Kong) killing McCool was great. Great debut for Kharma
Ladder Match For The Vacant World Heavyweight Championship: Christian vs. Alberto Del Rio 2 great workers, hot crowd, right guy winning and great end scene = Awesome f***ing match. Watch it…….NOW!
Lumberjack Match For The Tag Team Titles: The Big Show & Kane© vs. Wade Barrett & Ezekiel Jackson A pointless match, a waste of time.
Triple Threat Steel Cage Match For The WWE Championship: The Miz© vs. John Cena vs. John Morrison Probably the best WWE cage match in a REALLY long time. These 3 guys worked great together. There were great spots like the double top rope suplex on the Miz with a nast landing. Miz Buckle Bombing Morrison into the Cage, plus more.
Also Truth costing Morrison the match and beating him up in the ring and even taking out Cena was great and he got booed. HeelTruth is on a great start.
I’m not pissed Cena won, I just feel like in was at the wrong time and place.
Overall Thoughts: Really good show with a great debut, 2 really good matches and 2 great World Title matches.

I liked every match, including the divas -- which is never the case. Either for ring action or psychology or whatever, everything on this PPV clicked for me.
Best since the championship scramble ppv couple years ago IMO.

Even if you don't like Cena winning, you got to give him props; he put on one helluva effort

I have to watch the last match, the news dragged me away from it. The finish looked good, though. I thought the action was alright, some of those matches are tough to deal with (table matches suck except for the actual finish), but they worked around them pretty well, considering it's PG.
Couldn't stand Punk losing because the booking of the feud makes no sense. Rey winning annoyed me, but then I remembered Cody won a WM, so at least it wasn't a Batista/Trips like squashing there, and Rey had to win underhandedly. Whereas Orton no sold everything and then destroyed Punk. He no-sold the Taker chair of doom to the throat! lol.

Morrison is insane with some of the stuff he pulled tonight. The nutcrusher on the cage door? Crazy.

Most impressive thing to me about both the cage and ladder matches: no obvious stalling by the climber to allow someone to catch up with him to prevent him from winning. That happens so often and usually ruins those matches from me, but tonight everybody was on time.
And I thought in losing ADR took a big step forward match-wise in establishing himself as an uppercard, even main event, guy who can pull his own in creating a great match.

I'll throw in my thoughts, giving marks out of 10 rather than a five star rating so I can avoid giving half-stars and stuff like that. Orton/Punk: 7/10 Was surprised it went on first, but it pumped up the crowd until Cole killed that again. Solid match from start to finish, with some unique takes on their usual finishers, some nice spots that we don't see often (Neck-Pillmaniser looked nasty, but seems to have been safe, so kudos to them!) Other than a bit of Orton no-selling, it was excellent. If Taker was involved and it was at Mania, it'd be considered a classic. Sheamus/Kingston: 6/10 This was a great little tables match. Sheamus always works amazingly with high-flyers, and Kingston's pretty much at the top of that league. Some spots where I was surprised they even tried, the margin for failure was so high, but they managed it perfectly. Nice work with the standing-Boom Drop finish, too. Sad to see Sheamus losing his title, particularly after being bumped from Mania, but it was a good match to go out in. Cole/Swagger/Lawler/JR: 2/10 This was never going to be a classic. I will say that it was far, far better than the Mania match. If nothing else, it didn't drag, didn't eat up time or feel too slow, it was just a normal match with some amusing antics like the bubble wrap. Seems like wasted potential though, with Cole being a Karma Houdini once again (Ironic considering the debut we got tonight...) and the tension with Swagger leading to nought. Hope they finish this story soon. Mysterio/Rhodes: 6/10 Wasn't anything too spectacular compared to their MOTN at Mania (in my opinion), but it was a solid match, the backstage stuff was fun to watch with the mirror-Beautiful Disaster bit seeming particularly nice (augmented by the hot crowd back there) Even though Mysterio won, it was a unique enough finish that I can't take anything away from me, particularly after last month. McCool/Layla: 4/10 Nothing amazing, but served its purpose, had a few nice moments, and set up the fantastic debut for Kharma. Was rather annoyed at McCool smiling before the Diamond Dust/Layout was hit, then promptly no-selling it afterwards. Took me out of the match. Other than that, it worked. Look forward to Layla's role from here on in. Christian/Del Rio: 10/10 I really can't think of any way I'd improve this match, other than maybe to have Ricardo try and pull Christian down instead of Brodus (hopefully avoiding his injury too, ouch!). Both men should be very proud of that match. Best ladder match I've seen in a long long time. Unique spots, amazing resilience, places where I thought for sure the match was over (Christian trapped in the ladder, Del Rio crashing into the table-propped ladder, Del Rio going up after Brodus' assistance...) and was promptly surprised again! Edge's arrival was quite beautiful, and I'm glad he was there when Christian won the title. Definitely a worthy match for Captain Charisma's first title win and Del Rio's last Smackdown match. Match of the night, maybe the year. I'm happy. KaneShow/Corre: 4/10 I'm glad that this lasted longer than the Wrestlemania match, and the Corre got in some offence, but still... Wow. It's like they really don't want their new stars to look competent. Kane/Show is an incredibly boring team, and the ease with which they're squashing the Corre is just depressing. The highlight of the match was Trent Barretta, a guy who wasn't even in the match. Yeah. Miz/Cena/Morrison: 8/10 Triple Threat cage matches can be very awkward, but I think they avoided it nicely here. All three men did a lot, and not sure who'd be considered the MVP of the match. Also gave the feeling that they were constantly trying for the victory, which not many cage matches manage. All three men have quite a bit of chemistry, and the match didn't feel as long as it was. The C4 was also perfectly delivered, well done to Morrison and Cena on that one. Truth's interference was nicely done, and the fact that he attacked Cena as well made me think for sure that Miz was going to escape, so WWE fooled me again. Can't say I'm thrilled with Cena being champ again, but it has been longer than they usually keep him out of the title scene, and he did have a belter of a match, so I can't be bitter. Highlight of the night: Christian winning. Couldn't be anything else. Lowlight of the night: Either Slabriel getting chokeslammed just to make the humiliation that bit more complete, or McCool no-selling. Crowd: WAY too quiet. Seriously, what the heck? Put that show in front of a crowd who actually seemed to care, I'm sure it'd be even better. Backstage exempted, of course. Overall rating: 8/10. So much better than Mania.

It was a really good show but I felt Cena wining almost totally ruined it. My opinion is fairly different from most here in that the only result I liked was Cole winning I can't wait for Truth and Kharma on Raw tonight. I really hope this Cena reign isn't long and Miz or Alberto win it from him.

There are so may heels on Raw now though. Cena as champ was the right choice. You'd rather a heel champ feuding with Rey and Big Show or Cena feuding with Ziggler, Swaggr, del Rio, Punk, Miz?

I'm confident Cena only won for the feud with Rock, and will lead to an interaction between the two of them tonight.

Great PPV last night, the PPV of the year so far I feel. My only disapointments were Punk losing again (but the match was great) and Cena winning to end the show (Should have ended with the ladder match).
The crowd was great too, especially during Orton and Christian's matches. The PPV after Wrestlemania usually has been better than Wrestlemania in recent years and this one was too.....by miles.

Just checked out the show. Christian's win really had me choked up with several tears falling, and I knew that he won.

Just caught the replay.
The look on Edge's face when Christian won made that even more special. No resentment, no acting, just elation and pride in his best friend.
So amazing.
