Just to be clear. The WWE does not consider the World Heavyweight Championship as being the same than the NWA or WCW titles, thus the title history for the WHC only goes back to HHH in 2002. They do, however, consider it to be a successor to them, meaning it carries the same legacy and they hold it up as having a great importance.
Make of that what you will.

Benoit was WCW champion for a day before he left to the Federation.

Benoit was WCW champion for a day before he left to the Federation. I think he means they both later became World Champions in the WWE.

Yeah, a 40-year history is much better than a 63-year history. The WHC is not the WCW title according to the official title history. Granted the WWE randomly changes their mind on it in kayfabe... but the official history starts with Triple H. www.wwe.com/inside/titlehistory/worldheavyweightExactly my point. I never knew HHH was awarded a title 63 years ago. Interesting

I'm sure WWE will eventually change their minds (again) on the WHC having the WCW lineage. Still, I don't think you can really incorporate the NWA history pre-1991 into it. It was always a stretch and I'm not sure who WCW thought they were fooling.
Anyway, to answer you question... Booker T and Stevie Ray in my EWR game.

Exactly my point. I never knew HHH was awarded a title 63 years ago. Interesting That's where the WWE has it, but it is considered a spin-off of the WCW Title, meaning that it shares its legacy. It's pretty much the same way that the WCW Title shared the legacy of the NWA Title. The WWE lineage starts with Triple H. The legacy of that title goes back to 1948.
