It was probably for the best. He would've embarrassed himself out there... I hope he comes back to WWE Haha, I remember kid's saying. "Batista is so awesome, he doesn't even need to stay in WWE! He can be awesome in other places!" I was like, F.U

At least he had a good run and gained the respect of MMA fans worldwide, like that time when he, erm, signed an agreement with a pen. Good times.

When I read the thread title, my first though was, "Batista was in MMA?" Did he even fight anyone?

It always sucks when someone can't pursue something they want to. Nevertheless, I would love another Batista run myself, but if he really has his heart set on MMA, I'm sure there's a lot of other, although lesser known, promotions. I doubt his heart is set on MMA. If it was, he would have gotten into it years ago. I think he just wanted to do it because of the light schedule and because of how popular it is now. I expect/hope to see him back in WWE before too long.

Batista please come back and save us from the likes of R-Truth, Bryan and Morrison.

Am I the only person that would freaking love to see a heel group of
-Douchetista -Jack Swagger -Ted Jr
with Michael Cole as the Manager/Spokesperson?

If nothing else, it at least gave us this image: And I think that was worth it. Wow, he shrunk! can't gas like crazy and be mobile enough to roll around at his age/weight

Is it me or does he look like a middle aged version of a Jersey Shore character?

Now that Edge is gone, Smackdown does need a main event face that fans and especially "internet fans" will cheer for ;D Pick up the phone Vince, and make sure Teddy Long gives him a title shot every other week!

Remember that time he wore that tiny shirt, stupid hat and jeans that are hanging a bit too low for my comfort level and then pointed at his bicep while someone took a photo? ... memoriiiies

Douchetista must have thought he could just sit quietly in a folding chair in an MMA ring. And have a following.
