It just seems after the past decade-plus of power moves and flashier finishers that there's just something lacking about suplexes.
Even going back and watching Hennig's Perfectplex and Angle's Olympic Slam, something just doesn't seem impactful enough.
Honestly, the two most impactful-looking suplex finishers I've seen recently were Alex Wright's beautiful (and appropriate) German suplex, and Doug Williams' also beautiful Chaos Theory.
Am I just not looking at the right suplexes? I only brought this up just out of trying to think of any new or original finishing moves that could be used anymore.

Some form of suplex into a pin, akin to the Perfectplex could work if it looked impactful enough.

If Dolph Ziggler can bring back the sleeper I don't see why a suplex is out of the question.

May be in the minority but Nathan Jones gutwrench suplex was pretty vicious.

I'd like to see the wheelbarrow suplex be used as a finisher at some point.

I think the only one that could be a finisher is some kind of Brainbuster.
Or even better and less likely, someone bring back the Steiner Screwdriver.

If Chris Masters could get a full nelson over as a finisher, I don't see why a suplex couldn't work today. I think suplexes work best though as a signature move to set up a submission finish or something along those lines, or a suprise pinning-combination finish.
I always loved the Tiger Suplex 85'

I think there are a number of suplexes that could work if they were used exclusively as finishers and the wrestler actually won matches with them: Dragon Suplex, Tiger Suplex, Half nelson choke suplex (Tazmission Plex), inverted suplex, Regal Plex, pumphandle suplex...

The Regalplex'd make a good finisher, I think.

I could easily see some new big guy using Goldberg's jackhammer as their finisher.

The Great Crappler suggested the pumphandle suplex. I would actually like to see that. It looks awesome in the SvR games.
Turns out Masters used the wheelbarrow suplex to pin Super Crazy one time in England. He can use that now if he wanted to. He can call it the Master-Plex.

I don't think it's that they don't work as finishers, as much as people don't use them as finishers anymore, for some reason. I'd buy the Jackhammer, the Falcon Arrow, most belly-to-back (German, Dragon, etc.) variations, and the Fisherman Suplex as viable finishers.

I liked the looks of the ... I think it was inverted powerslam in that video. Could see that being used.

Dino Bravo's side suplex could still be used.

Regal-plex is the main one. That move just looks vicious.
I could also buy the Dragon Suplex as a finisher since it's pretty impactful.

Anything can be a finisher if they want it to be. The biggest death move in the WWE at the moment is a kick to the head.

Anything can be a finisher if it's sold correctly; and a gutwrench or German suplex can legitimately knock a person out.

dragon and half nelson suplexes are vicious looking. they could easily work as finishers. the best though is Tiger Mask IV's Millenium Suplex. someone should pick that up. www.youtube.com/watch?v=BoqeoqVHeDU

Spinning Fisherman? I could see an average to small guy using it quite effectively
