I've never been a guy to go big and have ambitions this crazy but WWE's devilishly clever marketing scheme has worked and now, you know what, I'm thinking about saving my pennies and doing the whole WrestleMania experience.
My logic is, really, I'll never have this good an oppertunity again in terms of Manias. My favourite guy of all time in his possibly last match against the biggest guy of this generation, going to Florida for the first time, seeing the HOF and Axxess, possibly making stops at the ROH shows that'll be there, I just want to do it and I can't think of a better time outside of WM 30.
So here's what I wanted to ask those who have been to Mania recently, how much would you say things cost? Not tickets for the arena because, as helpful as they are, those might change from now until when the tickets go on sale at the end of the arena. Just stuff like the Hall of Fame, Axxess, the ROH shows, things like that. I want to basically give myself a minimum amount to save up to and plan my next few months around that.
I honestly want one day, just one, when I'm not thinking about it from the internet fan side and to just enjoy things (unless, obviously, it's a horrible show then in that case, I'll judge it like anything else) and hey, I would get to say I saw Cena/Rock. Can't beat that.

I was actually thinking of going to Wrestlemania 28 as well, since it'll be very close to where I live. It would be my first WWE event ever. Would like to know what the price range would be for the full experience.

I'm the same...but I've got so much on my plate that I doubt I'll be able to afford it.
Of course, the fact I'll be in Miami towards the end of this year doesn't help matters.

what time of year do the travel packages normally go on sale? I think they're about the same point as tickets do? I could be wrong about that. Completly forgot about those...

My WM26 travel package cost over $1,000 just for me (it costs more if you have more people in your party). That package got me a hotel for a few days (but not airfare or other travel expenses), tickets to 'Mania, HOF and Axxess, a private meet and greet signing at my hotel (you won't know who you're meeting until you see them), and a few WM26 souvenirs and signed pictures (the take-home WM event chair being the highlight of that - but be warned that the airlines won't let you bring it on board). I think I had the silver package but I honestly can't remember. Also, know that WWE picks your hotel. There were hotels much closer to the venues from where I was stationed, so you don't always get the best deal there. The hotel I had was very nice, but I wasn't in it half the time anyway.
WM seats are going to cost you a ton anyway (I've heard of people paying anywhere from $750 per ticket on Ticketmaster to $2,000 from a scalper JUST for a third row WM seat), so you might as well spend a few hundred more and get the whole travel package. Rock vs Cena is one of the last big dream matches, and I think being able to see it live would be well worth it.

Thanks doink. I've told my little brother that he's coming with me so it'll be a bit more for the both of us but he's the guy I want coming with me for all this.
I'll probably do the package thing. If they are going to have the same rates as this year and the pound doesn't crash between now and July or whenever they decide to do these things, I'll be able to afford a pretty sweet deal.
For the event chair...well, I have relatives around I can give it to to mail to me so that's not a big deal. I just really want to do this now

Me and my older brother talk about it every year but were completely determined this time especially since it will be harder for us to get together for a trip in the future. Between Cena vs. Rock and undertaker going for 20 it seems like our best and possibly last chance.

I've never been to a Wrestling event, let alone left the UK, Heck...I've never been on a Airplane before. WM28 is tempting me to finally get out there, and see the world, but at the same time, I will be just me, myself and I, Since nobody I know likes wrestling, and wouldn't want to come with me...Which doesn't sound that bad.

Fortunately since it's in Miami around Spring Break time, you might be able to catch some sort of deal on a spring break florida travel package for flight/hotel and stuff.

Another UK fan getting tempted here. I think the fact it's in Florida is tempting me a lot, because my boyfriend and I both love Disney world too, and Mania + Disney is...well ok, it was my idea for a perfect honeymoon that's come along a bit early! I'm terrified of how much it would cost, when I don't earn a lot, but maybe it's a reason to start saving. If Taker does make it to next year, that would be truly amazing, Rocky is another part of my childhood and the whole atmosphere around it does look great.
Damn you WWE marketing!

I'm considering it too and I've never been able to afford to leave the state before. If I do go, I want to make sure that I have better seats than I did at this WM. They weren't horrible, but I'd want to experience this one much closer.

By the time, that tickets go on sale, not only won't I have enough, but I wouldn't even have enough money to buy a plane ticket. Well, there go my plans.

what time of year do the travel packages normally go on sale? I bought my travel package in the summer of last year--July, I think. If you buy a package the day they go on sale, prepare to be patient because so many people trying to purchase them at once wreaks havoc on the wwe.com servers. If you just want tickets for WrestleMania, they usually go on sale around November. This year was my first live 'Mania and now I'm also thinking about making the trip next year. Hopefully WWE will pick a hotel that is close to the facilities they are running events in; the Atlanta Marriott Marquis was perfect because it was within easy walking distance of the Georgia Dome, Phillips Arena, and the Georgia World Congress Center. If you can afford to make the trip, you really should. There's nothing like seeing WWE signage all over town and so many people from all over the world gathering for a single event.

If you're thinking of going, don't forget to budget for a rent-a-car, unless the WWE packages give you transport to the show. I'm assuming this is at whatever they're calling Dolphins' Stadium, which is smack dab in the middle of Miami and Fort Lauderdale and there aren't many hotels in the area, pretty sure none of which you can hoof it to the show from.
If you have a car, there will be plenty of hotels to pick from if you're willing to drive a decent distance. The place I typically stay at in the area is probably 30-40 minutes from the stadium, but if I was to go, I'd probably stay there anyway.

So I went to Orlando for Mania a few years ago and you're looking at about $1,000. For me, that included WM ticket, Monday night Raw, two ROH shows (I think at least one ROH show is a MUST and maybe even a DGUSA show if that's your preference) and I even checked out a TNA taping (free). Didn't do the hall of fame. But yeah, a grand should cover it. I plan on going next year so that's how much I'm gonna try and save.
The tricky thing is determining how much you're going to spend on peripheral stuff. For instance, some like myself lay low, relax, and just do the wrestling thing. Others are going to want to go down to Miami and make it rain like Pacman Jones. I'd imagine that makes things significantly more expensive.

I'd love to head over from the UK too. Always wanted to do it someday. Obviously like most, the main problem is money and also if you're travelling that far, you want seats that are worth travelling that distance for.
