Im beginning to think that there won't be one. Theres one place (Wikipedia) saying a draft this year. April 18. Which is London. This is a taped show, and I highly doubt they'd risk holding a draft in London when spoilers would be out well before Raw airs here. Secondly, theres a house show that night. Drafts are basically "supershows" with all superstars present. I went through the list of live events currently scheduled: www.wwelivetour.com/eventlistings?page=1There's not one 3 hour RAW scheduled. All of the start times are pretty much 8:15 in the East (account for different time zones if you look). The Draft is also a hyped up show. When I went last year, the day tickets went onsale it was WWE DRAFT 2010. There is nothing of this sort on the website. Unless they've gone to a two hour draft show or a completely different format, I dont think there is a draft this year.

They might have decided to move the draft back to June.

They might have decided to move the draft back to June. True, but even so, Raws already scheduled for the month, and not one of them is set up for a 3 hour show and none of them advertise that its the Draft show. They put a lot of effort advertising the Draft show as its essentially a very special Raw. Its possible its announced down the line, but it is out of line with the way the draft has been announced in the past.

The major difference between this year and previous years is that the hour normally used for a third hour show is taken up for Tough Enough. So we might not even have a draft until June at the earliest.

Doesnt Tough Enough air at 11pm though? The Draft is typically 8-11. Unless Tough Enough is at 8 normally. Im not sure.
Edit: Only the debut is at 11. Its airing at 8 normally.
Yep, looks like we are waiting at least 10 weeks before a draft, if there even is one.

Only for the first episode. Episode 2 onwards is a lead-in show for Raw.

Would it really be that bad? Maybe if they wait awhile they could find some way to build it up, and make it mean something.

They may also have something else planned instead of a draft, or just a trimmed down draft. Who knows at this point really.

I was hoping the 4/11 show would be the Draft, as I am going to it.
But I think they will hold off till the summer, because they would want the current batch of storylines/WrestleMania fallout to play out.

I don't think they should do a draft this year. Their random switching of certain people since late 2009 has pretty much kept the roster fresh, along with the Nexus and Corre storylines. Both of those (since they both gave huge influxes of guys to the roster) created a new set of feuds and angles that didn't require people changing brands, and by and large, their entire mid-card and lower-card (and women's division, for that matter) are pretty fresh in terms of potential matches and storylines.

I really hope there'll be one. Another reason to hate Tough Enough, I suppose.

What I think would be cool is if they didn't have a draft. Then they announce who the anonymous gm is, and have him and Teddy Long try and steal each others superstars. Have each of them sneak onto the others show and try and recruit the others superstar. Like a battle to see who can create the best roster.

I think the GM will announce that "a new era has begun" and announce that the draft days are over- prepare to see Cena on Smackdown and Taker on Raw!

Just to shake things up, I'd set it up with Vince having a mental breakdown leading to him firing EVERYONE, before being committed to an asylum by the executive board for being completely batshit crazy.
Total roster upheaval.

Id like to see the laptop do the draft, just do it in a 20 minute Raw segment.

It was like that when they 1st did the brand split both Bischoff and Stephanie McMahon were signing each others superstars for a few months before the rosters were "finalized". I would just like for the WWE to not do a draft for two years. Bring it back after 2 years of not doing it and it will seem much more special. The first year they did the draft it seemed big. In recent years it seemed not big at all. Mix up the roster by trades and free agent signings. Also new talent like the Nexus and Corre have done a good job mixing up the current rosters so there are still feuds and stories left to playout.

There's no point in doing a draft right now. There are enough fresh feuds left on both brands to last at least until the summer, and that's just assuming that they don't move anybody up from the midcard.
