Also, Cena just tweeted this. "Thank you Randy. That means more than you know. Thank you." They can't ever feud again after this. broken friendships just make feuds stronger

They're just as rusty, and neither of them are working matches leading up to the match. Hell, Taker isn't even taking contact. There's a better chance of the Rock doing something good than there is those two, unless they're backstage every week working out a match like Randy Savage would. Rock can dumb down his offense to punch, punch, punch, spit punch, rock bottom, spinebuster, people's elbow, and probably look halfway decent Triple H has been working dark matches and the occasional house show. Dark matches are glorified 2 minute walkthrough blown up tag matches. I saw a commerical that he was booked for a singles match against Sheamus at a house show, maybe he's got a few in.

Orton came up as being delusional in that one. It's obvious he doesn't watch the current product, and is just a Cena mark at heart. Really? Cena is a better performer than Rock?

Although, smarkiness aside, if what people say about Cena being a great guy is even half-true, it's not surprising that the lockeroom'd be behind him so strongly.

If Hogan did something similar with Austin when he returned in 2002, the locker room would have more than likely been behind Austin over Hogan.
He's "their guy" so to speak. Some of the old timers are the same. Its like that top guy represents their whole era.
Plus the Rock's first promo when he came back kinda crapped on the entire era. The whole "we went from Stone Cold and The Rock to 'you can't see me'". Even if its just for the purpose of the kayfabe feud, the original background of the feud was rooted in reality.
And at this point only a few of them have even worked with the Rock. The roster turnover is pretty drastic at 7 years.

If they started a tag team, that's a team name I wouldn't hate.

If they started a tag team, that's a team name I wouldn't hate. Sounds like the new Two Man Power Trip to me. As far as Orton's comments, I can't say I blame him. I seriously doubt that Cena's by himself, let alone in any minority in people who think the Rock turned his back on professional wrestling; and for those of you with selective amnesia, that included a lot of the IWC. This wasn't Bill Goldberg or DDP by any imagination who "dared to leave 'rasslin'", Rocky did everything he could to distance himself from professional wrestling, including WWE. Meanwhile, Cena (outside of the ring) has gone above and beyond in representing and defending the WWE, if not wrestling as a whole. When the Benoit thing went down, Cena was on the side defending wrestling and the WWE,while the Rock was nowhere to be seen on either side. Randy's response isn't out of "marking" for anyone; he just realizes that one has been there for the WWE and for professional wrestling for the past seven years and the other's been M.I.A., and as a third generation superstar, that probably means more to him than who can give a rousing speech. And to disregard that and chalk it up to any sort of mutual ego stroking sounds like the response of a Rock-mark, if you ask me.

I'll remove Cena from this because he's the Hogan of the 21st Century, so obviously no one is going to get one over on him from a booking perspective.
Let's say Orton is the business, lives the business, whatever... who in the world has he put over that wasn't already on top?
Get back to me when he jobs to someone like the Bossman clean to put over a pointless PPV match involving a feud where someone's dead daddy got dragged at a high rate of speed.
Rock might not be in the business, but it seems to me he "got it" alot better than someone like Orton. At least he didn't go around shitting in the diva's bags. I mean, be awed at the way Orton put over the Miz during their run.

Like Orton'd know anything about a good promo. He was in a tag team with Edge, a stable with Triple H and Ric Flair, and has feuded with the likes of Shawn Michaels, Chris Jericho, and Mick Foley. Yeah, when would he evar have seen a good promo?

The same superstars that had Hogan #23 of all time. QFT. I don't care how dedicated Cena is to the business, that's no reason to over-sell the guy. Go back and watch The Rock's old matches and promos and then watch Cena's. Rock gets twice the crowd reaction Cena does easily. Also, when the Rock cracks jokes on the mic, you can hear the entire arena erupt in laughter. Cena never gets anything with his gay and poop jokes.

Cena writes his own stuff and the Rock has people that write for him? What? Really? Nope. Rock writes his own stuff too. At best, he's been given bullet points for promos. Just like Jericho, Foley, Austin, Piper, etc.
