Heel Who Thinks He's A Babyface CenaThe ideal heel Cena for me would be to have him behave almost exactly as he does now, except be ruthless and sociopathic. He's still the smiling, joking, "poopy" face of the company, but he randomly attacks faces, and freaks out when he gets boo'd, like "WHY ARE YOU BOOING ME? YOU LOVE ME. YOU KIDS LOVE ME. CHEER ME, I'M YOUR CHAMPION. I'M JUST LIKE YOU, I AM THIS BUSINESS." The ideal way to do this would be using Miz at Wrestlemania, or another hated heel at some point. Basically have him unable to beat them during a match (three AAs no three count or something), and he just wigs out and beats the crap out of them with a weapon to the point where it's like "Dude, jesus, stop!" Then the next night he cuts a promo saying "WELL I DON'T SEE WHY YOU'RE BOOING ME, THERE WAS NO WAY MIZ COULD BEAT ME YOU ALL KNOW THAT. I JUST DID WHAT I HAD TO TO END THE MATCH. STOP BOOING ME. STOP BOOING ME, I'M THE GOOD GUY." That's my "perfect world" heel Cena. This is perfect.

Yeah, but they did this with Barrett, to a degree, and all it did was turn Punk back to being a heel when he was getting face heat. The kiddie audience is going to be really tough to overcome. The only way you can turn him is to change the audience.
If he beats Miz within a inch of his life, that isn't going to turn him. Hell, it seems to get Orton more over.
Guys like Rock and Austin, who are faces, but are more or less heelish dicks, are perfect for turning Cena, the problem is again, the kids. Right guys, wrong time.

Cena doesn't have to turn heel. He needs to turn the fans heel. "I do everything right, give everything for you people, and it STILL isn't good enough." I think that should be his motivation leading up to becoming a "corporate champion" heel.

Entitled Cena...right out of the Hogan playbook. Or even Bret Hart. Cena doesn't have to turn heel. He needs to turn the fans heel. "I do everything right, give everything for you people, and it STILL isn't good enough." Pretty much this. Hogan/Bret Hart-ish heel turn. "I bust my ass for this company, for you fans. Night in, night out I am here every single day for you fans. The autographs, the t shirts, the most requested Make A Wish celebrity. I take the Rock out (after getting the upper hand on him at WM) because he doesn't want to be here for you fans. He doesn't care about the fans like I do. And you boo me??!! You boo John Cena?!?!" Something like that anyways. He would also return to the style of ring attire from when he first debuted.

Being the kind of heel that Angle was when he began. A heel that is convinced he is a face. I remember a Raw when Kofi is cutting a promo while Cena and some others are in the ring, the fans are chanting Cena Sucks and Cena says to Kofi "Dont listen to them, I dont". thats a heel move right there.

The answer is simple: trying to make Cena an evil badass would just make him more awesome in the eyes of the fans, and the audience wouldn't buy it if he randomly became a chickenshit heel. So yeah, making him a heel who doesn't really comprehend his own heeldom and is haplessly repulsive and annoying to the crowd is really the only way to go.

Cena would see himself as this babyface, the fan's favorite, when in actuality, everyone is sick of him. Either that, or the "everything I've done for you, and this is the thanks I get" Cena. Although "Corporate" Cena in the wrestling trunks could get over if done right. He'd essentially be one of the previous two, only blatantly more generic and blander (yes, that's possible).

Eventually he should morph into "Heel Who Thinks He's A Babyface" Cena mentioned earlier.

Bret Hart style. Instead of America vs Canada it'll be kids vs "adults" with Cena really being right.

The best idea imho would be a hoganesque heel turn since he is the hogan of this era. WWE should sign the Kings of Wrestling from ROH and let them be a top heel tag team ala Outsiders and align w/ a newly heel turned Cena.

STOP BOOING ME, I'M THE GOOD GUY." That's my "perfect world" heel Cena. Basically that, except id add a little touch of goofy unselfaware kurt angle. The problem with thuganomics cena is even though people always say he should turn and go back for it hed get cheered hard. Funny heels rarely are able to last very long without getting turned. It happened to the rock,it happened to christian in 05 and it happened to jericho when he came to the wwf. He broke a womans thumb with a hammer and they still cheered him. The fact is that considering we all realise its pretty much pre-detirmined,when you see a guy whos really funny you just want to cheer for him. You can distance yourself from the bad things he does, because you recognise or delude yourself into thinking that on some sort of level that behind that sense of humor is the real person. Funny makes you a face alot of the time. Srs cena by the same token would be a derivative. It's not who he is,and even though cena is quite the underrated in ring wrestler,i think even he would tell you hes not really technically good enough to pull off being a wrestling machine. I think it'd make a character that people complain of it being bland, even blander. Psycho cena is intriguing but...i dont think thats his forte either. He could portray someone with psychopathic or sociopathic traits like the ones kneelift listed but the idea of him basically being edge or orton is a little odd to me. It wouldnt fit with his aesthetic,i dont think its who he is. Corporate cena might be ok. It seems a little..odd to me. I cant define why and hey i think all of these are cool ideas,I especially think it'd be cool if you put cena with cole but...i d k...it seems odd. the question i wonder is,if cena is a heel. Who is cenas ideal opposition or nemesis. Basically whos the batman to his joker? Its easy to say the rock, but I dont know..i think a rock vs heel cena feud would probably be used to get the rock over. The person I immedately thought of was orton. Punk as a babyface might work because hes sort of the opposite of everything cena is. He's mr punk rock,mr sarcasm and was the face of independant wrestling for years but i think orton might be a better fit. I just hope if they do it,they dont panic and turn him back.

Remember how The Dudleys would bash the fans and challenge them back in ECW?
Could you imagine, the riots that John Cena could cause...

Corporate Cena sounds best to me. Bingo. If they could get Steve Austin to use his "one match left in the tank", he could so tear down Cena for becoming the Champion that McMahon always wanted. How he sold out all his Thuganomiccs ways, to become the HLR machine.

Corporate Cena would work the best. It's got more than a shred of truth to it and you could still do the heel who thinks he's a face with that direction.
