Not unexpected, but still sad. I was able to meet him at a couple of the Fanfests, and what Norm said is true. Just a really good and very friendly guy.
Several years ago, he did a DVD with his good friend "Playboy" Gary Hart called "The Art of Managing." I recommend it to anyone with an interest in learning about a part of the business, and you also get to see Hump in action and see a little bit of the guy he was. I watched it before I worked my first show and learned things I'll always apply.
The Fanfests aren't going to be the same. He was always a bright spot. My thoughts and prayers will be with his family. Goodbye, Hump.

Got the message a couple of hours ago through the Wrestling-Titles Facebook page. The wrestling world is at a loss. I never actually seen his best work, but hearing he was a nice guy makes it all the more sad.

I didn't know much about his work, but I've heard he was a nice guy. I do remember seeing him with Bam Bam in the WWF, but not much else.
Rest in peace, sir.

RIP.
I'll always remember him as one of the few good face managers when he worked with Bam Bam.

R.I.P. I only saw him in action in the WWF and NWA/WCW but read about his Florida days in old magazines. Sad to think that we've lost Bam Bam too..

From everything I've heard, he did his best work as a heel in Florida. I've unfortunately not seen a whole lot of it, but there are some clips on the DVD I mentioned that are very good, including one where he snaps and goes off on Gordon Solie, I think for airing a clip of SOH washing Dusty's car, I presume as a stipulation from some match.

From Fanfest promoter and Hump's friend, Greg Price:
There will be a celebration of Sir Oliver Humperdink's life next Sunday, April 3, from 2-5pm at the Knights of Columbus, 1114 American Blvd, Bloomington, MN 55420. Everyone is welcome. For those who can't make it and want to send flowers or cards, you can do so to the above address. Many thanks!

I always thought Big Daddy Dink (his role with the Hayes-Garvin Freebirds when they were managed by none other than Diamond Dallas Page) could have been developed as a face manager role for some of the younger/foreign talent in WCW. He seemed to be having a ball in the role, too, though he was superflous (as was DDP) in a group where both members, especially Michael Hayes, could handle their own mike work.

One year at the Fanfest, he actually raffled off the Big Daddy Dink vest as part of the ongoing fund raising for an actual building for the Fanfest's Hall of Heroes. So someone has a nice item in their collection.
