Although over the shoulder looks cool, I'm wearing it around my waist, like how a belt should be worn.

Over the shoulder looks cool on some guys, but if I was a wrestler, I'd go the Edge route. Wear my belt under a bad ass, opened longcoat.

Whomever has the picture of Melina wearing "nothing" but the tag title belts: That's your winner right there.

I like both ways, honestly. I like it when there's some variety.
Also I wonder if Cena is now wearing it as a belt to protest the whole "not calling it a belt" thing. He did mention on twitter that he doesn't like it right?

Around the waist with special championship suspenders I'd wear it over the shoulder with the bottom in the pants so it'll be half a suspender. Also, you'd be a heel if you were it around the waist with championship suspenders. How can fans trust you if you don't even trust your pants?

It all depends on the person. I've always liked the ones that carry the belt in a way that fits with their character.
During the Undertaker's first reign (back in 91), he dragged the belt along with him like it was another dead body.
Austin tended to treat the belt as something he was forced to bring along with him on his way to deliver another ass kicking.
There's the flamboyant M&M who wore it hanging from their jocks.
Even going WAY back...Tully Blanchard had a unique way of carrying the TV title that made it look a lot more prestigious than it really was. The way he carried himself and the title, IMO, should be required viewing for developmental. *THAT* is how you act like a champion, even for a low-tier belt.
On some people, the belt around the waist looks simply too "big", and ends up making the guy look like the little boy who's trying to dress up in his big brother's clothes. For people like this, the belt should be carried over the shoulder.
But for people who have a relatively large frame, the belt around the waist looks perfectly fine.
It all depends on the person. What looks good on one sometimes looks downright silly on another.

I prefer it be worn around the waste, but its ok to carry it like Miz did, since he also raised it in the air

No love for the "stuffed down the front of pants" look? I came to post this, as it is clearly the correct answer. ;D

I think the debate is not merely about the character of those who wear them as they might, but also about championship hardware design as a whole. I suspect that some belts are just not that comfortable to wear around for any length of time. It's isn't only the waistband from the belt that can be an issue; the shapes of some of the belts' center plates aren't exactly harmonious with the human abdomen.

I was always kinda partial to The Rock folding the belt in the crook of his arm in the Corporate Champ days.

I never liked the way Beth pheonix carried the belt (other too, but I can't remember who they were). It's like she was carrying a tiara/crown that she refused to wear for some reason.

I like 'Taker and all but I hope someone back stage slapped him silly for wearing the belt like an oversized collar.

How else was he going to ride the bike!? lol.
Would be awesome if his mind wandered and he did it after his character changed back.

Around the waist is the prefferred method, unless for various other resaons already outlined in this topic (too skinny, too fat, wearing a suit, etc...)

I'm kind of a traditionalist. For some guys, the belt is just a prop. Austin used to throw it into the ring, The Rock used to drag it on the ground. But those guys were so beyond over with the crowd that the belt was almost coincidental for them. Some others, however, actually NEED the belt to help them get over-the face that fans want to see win so badly, the heel fan's can't stand to see with it. For those guys, it is a good idea to make the belt looks like it MEANS something. That means over the shoulder for interviews, but worn around the waist to the ring. When they get in the ring, they take it off and hand it to the referee, not just drop it off somewhere. If they have a manager/valet, let them hold it. Make sure the audience can see it and know it is important to this guy. Otherwise, what is the point of him having it?

I like 'Taker and all but I hope someone back stage slapped him silly for wearing the belt like an oversized collar. It was the only practical option during the Biker gimmick, where he didn't have enough room to wear it around his waist and it was the only way to be sure it wouldn't get ran over by the bike or get dropped.

A belt goes around your waist; hence that is how I would wear it.
