I don't get why people want Kane to put the mask back on. It harkens back to a time where Kane was booked stronger but that was the booking, the mask had nothing to do with it. The mask added a mystique to Kane that has since been debunked. There's no mystique to him if he puts the mask back on, it's just Kane wearing a mask, we know everything there is to know about the guy. His character needs to be reinvented, putting the mask back on him is just pandering to the nostalgic, there's no long term benefit.

I still say compromise and give him some face paint.

Having Kane put the mask back on is a waste of his charisma and mic skills.

Having Kane put the mask back on is a waste of his charisma and mic skills. This. Kane got over so huge with the mask because he has EXCELLENT body language. He managed to portray sympathy, destruction, anger and distress with a mere tilt of his head. He was THE best body language man I've ever seen in wrestling. His facial expressions and mic skills are very good too. I still remember that fantastic promo he cut on SmackDown last year during the Undertaker feud (only spoiled by the horror movie background music). The guy offers too much to hide with a mask. It's like people asking for Alberto Del Rio to put his Dos Caras Jnr mask back just because.

I'm thinking he'll return as a "human" and not his regular monster gimmick it'll be something new and different

I think this is leading to Kane's retirement at WrestleMania.
Paul Bearer, Undertaker and Kane all leaving at the one event in a huge moment. Their characters cannot exist without the others being in active in the WWE universe and have to all go out at once.
Kane has been rumoured for retirement almost as long as Undertaker now and Paul Bearer wants PR work and not on screen - it makes sense.
People forget Kane has worked nearly 15 years with minimal time off for injuries and rest - he is as bad as Undertaker for work rate for a giant man in terms of ignoring injuries, etc.

If the mask does come back, I think Kane should be like WCW era Vader....wear the mask down to the ring, then take it off and kick a**......this way, both parties are happy.

Only way I could see Kane going back to the mask is if Mark Henry smashed his face instead of his leg.

I get the feeling that might have been his retirement moment on Smackdown. Had a great match with Orton. With both guys kicking out of finishers. Match went 30 minutes. Handshake at the end. Kane puts over both Orton and Henry. Also, I've NEVER seen him take off his glove. EVER.
If that is the end for the big red machine, I wish him well in life. He's one of my all time favorites, and I know his body and his knees especially are in bad shape.
With him being one of the best big men in the business, I would hope he could pass that knowledge and experience down.

I've always like masked Kane better so I'd like to see him have one last run with the mask. I've always likened his mask to Jason's hockey mask, they don't need it....but it adds to the persona.

I'd mark for the old costume alone, no need for the mask

I don't think Kane should continue foward with the mask but I think it'd be cool if he donned the mask for one night only as a throwback to the fans. That'd be fun.

Thirding that he finally busts out that green mask.
Every kid in my elementary school said they saw him wear it at house shows, it's time he finally busts it out on TV.
