Does it even matter? Whoever wins will just be a paper champion until the Punk storyline unfolds further.

Lets be honest with the recent contract situations and the supposed pressure that John Laurinaitis is under to re-sign Rey he could pretty much ask for whatever he wants and they'll throw it at him. Personally he's a strong worker, puts on entertaining matches and his feud with Cody Rhodes proves he can put over a young guy no problems. But kids cheer him and people buy his merch so the internet has to hate him.
It all depends on their plans, chances are Del Rio is going to cash in and when Punk returns we'll get a "you're not the real champion" feud.

Indifferent.
I see Miz winning it though. It seems like they've been putting him into a slow-burn face turn lately, especially playing up his heart and determination last night with the injury angle. Miz wins, Del Rio cashes in much the same way Miz did on Orton, which furthers Miz's face heat.

...he won't have it very long because Del Rio will cash in his MITB and take it from him. This. Del Rio deserves it at this stage.

Seriously, whatever. I'd rather an injured Miz wins though and del Rio cashes in on him.

I would just be annoyed. VERY annoyed.
Besides, I've warmed up to Miz A LOT lately and he looks good as Champ.

...he won't have it very long because Del Rio will cash in his MITB and take it from him. yeah that's what i'm thinking. need to have a face champ since a heel has the MITB. though i was thinking how great it would be for del Rio to win the tourney AND still have the MITB to make himself immune to surprise cash-ins unlike every other champ since MITB started

Rage. I don't want to see Rey as Champion again, I'm tired of his act.
Plus I like The Miz and I think it would be a nice reward for him for putting over Riley.
But.....I don't think either man will leave as Champion next week.

Miz's six months as WWE champion were, for the most part, godawful dreck, so Rey would be far preferable to him.
Either way, I doubt it'll be that relevant, considering the angles with both del Rio and Punk.

Rey has been one of the most consistently entertaining ringworkers of the year. Miz has been flat out boring. The majority of his promos have been cookie cutter, his Mania match stunk (not entirely his fault but still) and the booking team dont seem to be fully behind him.

I would be pissed. Rey is a shell of his former shell as a result of his injuries and is at the point in his career where he should be putting the younger talent over.

There is no reason for arguments and rage, good people.
Now that he's not fired, Cena will obviously be added to the match making it a Triple Threat. He's going to win it, too.
So, relax.

Personally I could care more I mean I like both Miz and Rey but I rather see someone else besides Rey and Miz only lost the title a few months afo

Does noone think Punk will make sure there is no WWE Champion crowned next week? Nope. I don't expect Punk to physically be on Raw for at least a couple of months. "Via satellite", yes; in the arena, no.

I won't care because the title with the lineage is being held by CM Punk No he isn't. He may have the physical belt, but the championship was stripped from him, lineage and all.

...it wouldn't matter to me. I don't really care for either one of them, and this reeks of "transition champion".

Rey is the most stale, bland guy on the entire roster. He has not progressed or evolved in any single way for years and years. How people cheer for this guy and his predictable, idiotic offense remains a mystery to me.
If he wins - and retains without a cash in from Del Rio - then I'll give myself a migraine with the sheer amount of face-palming.
Mysterio is awful. Just.... AWFUL.
