For some reason my initial thought was that they were making a Hall of Fame for biggest muscles/best bodies. Sweet! Finally, a WBF Hall of Fame! Gary Strydom can get the long overdue recognition he had coming!

In an interview a couple of months ago, Road Warrior Animal said WWE was looking at a building in Tampa, Florida for the Hall of Fame and that they had asked him for some memorabilia to put in it. So Florida is our best guess for the tourism, weather, and it not being as expensive as New York.
I just want to know if they plan on holding the ceremonies there and if so, how will that work with Wrestlemania weekend? They obviously wouldn't be halfway across the country the night before Wrestlemania. So either they plan on holding the ceremony weeks in advance so that they can tape it and air it the night before Wrestlemania, or they plan on moving the ceremony to another point in the year, or they don't plan on holding the actual ceremonies at the new building.

Are we gonna get a golden, life-size Drew Carey statue?

Doesn't matter who ultimately foots the bill, the place won't last three years. There's simply not enough interest in a physical wrestling HOF to sustain it as a long-term business. The mainstream public won't care, and wrestling fans who just happen to be in the area will visit it once. And as for the suggestion of building it in Universal.....the chances of Vince allowing that to happen as long as TNA is taping impact there is exactly zero. There's no way in hell he's going to essentially draw his own fans into Universal to visit his HOF just so they can leave the building, walk a few feet, and watch TNA. It's just not going to happen. The best I could see is dedicating a couple of floors of WWE's corporate office, or building a separate building on corporate property. Anything else is just basically throwing money down the drain -- there's just not enough of a demand for it to be a viable, long term investment. Vince doesn't even see them as competition, he's gone on record and made that apparent a few times already. And rightfully so because they aren't. I doubt IW is gonna be considered in any capacity if they decide FL is an option.

Personally I beleived that if this ever happened, they would build it in either Stamford or New York City.
Regardless of the location though, I'm just glad that this is finally coming to fruition.
