That's actually how my facial hair grows, except as a full chin strap. I tend to shave it whenever it actually reaches that state.

Regarding Rick Rude (Just noticed the alliteration), there was also the beard that he had when he was in DX. Something about seemed kind of off. Same with the different looks he had while in the nWo. One week, he had the mustache, next, he had a beard, then he just had a 5 o'clock shadow. There was one horrible style he had and this was in the summer of 1998. Ugh, its like he had a buzzcut, a mustache, and a goatee with the rest of his face clean shaven. There was too much going on that it was a mess.

Yeah, I havent seen much in the way of beard persecution within pop culture. Unless it relates to one's dress code at their job, beards seem to always be talked about positively. It's certainly helping Brian Wilson's stock rise.

If women want to have hairy legs, they can. Not everyone has to clone what everyone else does. Most women wear trousers these days so no one would ever know.
