Didn't he say something else...like "I'm tired of making guys like you look good..." Which I thought was an interesting comment. He said "I'm tired of making average look awesome" which really sounded like a shot at Miz.

I get that he's trying to label Punk since he's the most famous name right now,but he isn't doing it right...right?

Doesn't Edge have more wins against Cena then Cena has against Edge?

But Edge isn't competing now.
It's just another version of the "greatest night in the history of our great sport" hyperbole. Not really something designed to stand up to scrutiny, except maybe Cena thinks a lot of Punk thanks to their fantastic matches and hot angle.

I get that he's trying to label Punk since he's the most famous name right now,but he isn't doing it right...right? Yeah, Punk became popular by going against Cena and the establishment, then suddenly the establishment is bigging him up, kinda takes away from the rebel edge he has.

Cena is a bit separate from the establishment though at this point. Otherwise he'd be the champion choice for ADR.
Cena just officially put Punk on that level with Cena and Orton. Thats basically what the point of that was.
