Here's what I think will happen.
tomorrow on RAW, Vince comes out to call out Punk to plead him to reconsider. Punk doesn't come out, but Cena makes his way to the ring. Vince yells at him and Cena throws his cap down and unloads on Vince verbally, blaming him for the lack of faith and doubts, despite all that he's done for the WWE.
Vince glares at him and then gets ready to fire him when the GM bell chimes and the GM announces that he's had enough and is coming to take charge tonight.
In the last segment, Vince comes down to the ring, shaken and ashen faced and gets a mic. Cena makes his way out looking glum. Vince glares at him and gets ready to fire Cena again when the chime goes off, and then..
TIME TO PLAY THE GAME!!
Doofus comes out and yells at vince for screwing things and for interfering that caused this hijacking of the title. He also points out the stupidity of a clause which would cause WWE to loose their crown jewel (Cena).
He says that the rest of the board members have arrived at a decision and that is future endeavours. Crowd boos and Cena's head hangs down in disappointment as HHH takes the mic and says "Vince.. YOU'RE FIRED!!!".
Next week on RAW, HHH makes the match for summerslam, Punk vs Cena with a caveat. If Punk wins, Cabana gets recalled and Cena will be gone, but if Cena wins, Punk goes forever, just like he wants.
Then at Summerslam, it's a hard fought contest again, and Cena is on the verge of victory, when there's a ref bump(as usual). Then Hunter runs in, and Cena stands confused, when SWERVE, Hunter pedigrees Cena and it's revealed that Punk and Hunter have joined forces to infuse NEW BLOOD into the WWE. Cena, Johnny Ace and Vince represent the old attitude, which Hunter is sick of.
Hunter runs the company with Punk as his hitman, and then Vince makes a return with Cena around Royal Rumble to reclaim and save the WWE. Cena vs Punk for the control of the WWE at RR.
Rock gets involved, and you think he's gonna go for Cena, but SWERVE, he pedigrees HHH, and just like that, Cena wins(as usual), VKM is chairman again, and as thanks, Rock vs Cena is official for WM, and HHH vs Punk as a fallout.
Let me drop my Russo hat now.

What could happen today:
Vince McMahon addresses CM Punk and reminds Punk that he still has to respect the 90 days no competition clause. Therefor, Punk can not defend on television the WWE title. However... Vince agrees to allow Punk and his chosen opponent to have a televised championship match as long as it happens on WWE television. The catch obviously being that Alberto still can ambush Punk anywhere, so Punk will still keep the Nexus around to stop ADR in case.
Also, this will lead to a storyline with numerous Punk vs ROH talents matches culminating with Punk vs Colt Cabana at Summerslam. (where after a grueling match ADR ambushes Punk and cashes in)

I'm thinking they have a tourney and Punk appears for the first time in a month to ruin the final.

Cena has now been elevated to the status that doesn't need to mess with belts unless he wants to. Sin sational will be back from drugs probation

After last night I'm thinking the main event of Summerslam could be WWE Champion Rey Mysterio vs. John Cena
WWE may see this as the last chance of having a Rey vs. Cena PPV Match and I certainly think it will be interesting to see.

A bit off topic, but won't it be the 20th anniversary of this: Wait maybe the dates are wrong, but still it happened in Summerslam. FIXED

Sorry I meant 20th. But yeah that is also another feud to remember. And of course the burial, I mean The Rock beating Booker T to win the WCW title.

This is my predicted card as of today, just two days after the MITB PPV. I'm sure tons of stuff will change, but...
- Mysterio vs. Cena (Rey beats Miz next Monday, and WWE finally puts this face/face match on the second biggest PPV of the year. A rare time where this match would make sense, and would help to bring some prestige to the belt.) - Orton vs. Christian - No DQ Match (The final blowoff. Spoilerortonwins.) - Bryan vs. Rhodes (They get fifteen minutes to put themselves over, especially for Bryan.) - Henry vs. Sheamus/Kane (Henry goes against one of them to progress his monster push.) - Ziggler vs. Morrison (IC title deserves a spot on the show after not being mentioned last time, and Morrison can use a somewhat high-profile opponent for his return.) - Kelly vs. I dunno, the other Bella? - Tag Title match (I think Otungacutty holds them now. Some makeshift team comes out and beats them. Let's say Kofi and Bourne.)
I'd be somewhat happy with this card, and I figure this is realistic. Pepper in a possible Punk/HHH confrontation, and you have a passable PPV.
EDIT: Just looked through the rest of the thread. Cheers to the guy who already suggested Rey/Cena. And I realized JoMo/Truth is the logical choice over Ziggler.

I like Rey/Cena idea alot. My hope was that that would happen at a Mania in Mexico as I thought that it would've made for a great atmosphere, but Rey/Cena in LA could have a good atmosphere I think.

Rey/Cena would be both a great match and should provide another great athmosphere. This time it may be the kid fans who are torn on who to root for. It would also be a fresh match up. Its arguably two out of the company's top three faces and the top two faces on Raw battling it out. It would also give del Rio some massive heat if he cashed in on either one after wards.

I really don't like Rey/Cena, as I honetly feel it should be Punk with the title or no champion at all. Any title match will just look bogus and devalue what Punk did.

There's no way Punk will be away for too long. When he comes back, he'll have his belt. Everyone knows he beat Cena and arguably the true champion, but the 'E is trying to cover it up in kayfabe. I wouldn't be surprised if they go through with this second champion thing through Summerslam and beyond, depending on when Punk shows up again. But they need to do something with the "championship", and Cena/Rey is one of the last few high-profile matches that hasn't happened.

If it was a minor PPV like Over the Edge or Bragging Rights I'd be fine with Punk missing the event, but it's SUMMERSLAM. Which is supposed to be (regardless of if it actually IS or not) the second biggest event of the year. So NOT having Punk at least show up and do a run-in to continue the hottest WWE storyline in years would be a HUGE mistake, as would building up another big storyline which might detract from the Punk situation...Cena/Rey is waaay to big to get thrown in the middle of the Punk agle, as it might overshadow (or just oversaturate) the mix.
